Outside chance that Michu might play and we are waiting on Chico's fitness. Rangel out with a bad ankle though. Pity about all that. With a full team, I reckon we would be up for the game to try and make a bit of history in Fergie's last home game. Bound to be intense and worldwide media interest and the lads will want to look good.
The point was made by somebody the other day, Swansea looked more creative without Michu upfront . I agree with that, i feel the players maybe take the easy option and try and find Michu with the ball when perhaps other options are better, Michu is in a bad run of form as well which doesnt help matters, if Michu is fit and wants to play lets play him in his correct position i say
Assuming Michu is unfit, I would start off defensively to halt the Man U frenzy then bring on an attacking cavalry in the second half --------------Tremmel-------------- Tiendalli - Chico (if fit) - Williams - Davies -------------Britton---------------- Dyer -De Guzman - Augustien - Taylor -------------Moore-------------------- Subs: Hernandez, Routledge, Bartley, Vorm, Ki (if fit), Schecter
It's going to be a memorable day for sure, not sure how we are going to do for this one though, can't see a win with the injuries we have, but you never know, would love Michu to start for this game or even come off the bench, but I would play Moore up front, not Shec!.................
Hell this site is playing up again! I'll have to put something different up on those repeats...........................
de Guzman hasn't been halting anyone's frenzy this season and I don't see him doing it against United. He doesn't start for me. But if we do manage to ride out United's storm, by all means bring him on second half to maybe set up a goal.
Quite right Ivor - but we haven't got anyone who will put their foot in. He was the least worst option!
PGF, earlier in the season I bracketed Ki with de Guzman in the cream puff brigade but recently he has been trying to have a go. If he's fit, I would start him. Interesting choice putting Taylor left midfield. It would certainly shore up that flank and leave Ben to mop up the pieces. Not a statement of how we like to play but, if we can frustrate United long enough, we might hit them late on with one of our subs. United will be desperate to sign Fergie off on a winning note and could leave gaps when they push forward.
Cheeky bar steward I'm in row 1 Sunday so you're bound to see me, I'll be the pissed one wearing a Swans shirt Heard a rumour today that Michu might be fit for Sunday too
If Rangel was fit Ivor, I'd have him right midfield as well - and possibly put Dyer up front instead of Moore, so he could hassle the Utd defence. I think JDG can put his foot in - but only when he wants to. If I was ML I would wind him up beforehand and send him out on a mission - to be replaced by the more creative Ki after 60 mins
PGF you Jack Bastard, you never said if you liked my 1st ever attempt at a match thread. See how I got my priorities right
It was very informative. I particularly liked "Man Utd will be the ones in red and we will be the ones in white" Written with the knowledge of an away fan - just the job
I only put that bit about the colours in for any Man Utd fans that might have a look. All our fans know we play in white (I think). I've also found out they serve Budweiser in the ground and that most Man Utd fans think they're there to see a Robbie Williams concert.
