The chavs are definitely hot favourites. Last season they were for me the strongest team in the prem. they were let down by inconsistency. This has now gone. But I remember a few years ago they were so dominant in the first third of the season, that the press said they might as well take the trophy there and then. They came 2nd or even 3rd. I am not saying they won't win it but city normally starts slow. If they beat city they will be on very very short odds. But the title is never won in the first third of the season.
that all depends upon Jose's ego. He lost the Real Madrid dressing room, and whilst his mind games were superb in his first spell at Chelsea, he now comes over as a mumbling buffoon. I still recon the ego's of Jose and Roman are on a collision course, so we wait with baited breath
Chelsea have spent a billion pounds and won one title in the past 8 years. One of the most embarrassing statistics in English football!
Whilst i doubt we will win the title we are not out of it at all. Despite what some may say our team now looks strong, our rivals excluding chelsea are a point or so ahead at best, weve got someone who can now win games for us. In a few months when the season draws to an end i have a feeling we will be the in form side. It will be a case of how far ahead chelsea get to begin with and how many games we have left to chase. It may already be over when it does click.
Nah. The so called biggest club in the world not winning their domestic league in over 20 years. Now THAT'S embarrassing.
For now it will. Then the years pass by. Jose is sacked then rehired and wins the title in 2019. The brief period where its 2 in 8 resumes. The cycle begins again. To learn more about this, see the liverpool boom bust cycle for reference.
It wasn't the best period in our history but we made up for it with 13 more titles! A 50 year barren spell that only ended because a rich guy bought the title screams of small club in Fulham! Were you one of the 12,000 who followed Chelsea in the 80's?!
