Too busy trying to find a decent stream.
We are now back in it.
    Good goal by Dowell.

Pukki can’t squeeze it over the keeper with a chip when through on goal

Lees-Melou fails to put Pukki through when 3 on 2

    Giannoulis fails to find Pukki

and ducks taking a clear shot at goal

Rashica takes a touch too many rather than release Normann

We get in behind right at the end

How different this game could have been if Gibson hadn’t made two catastrophic errors.

I actually don’t think I agree. Apart from Gibson and McClean, we have been pretty dangerous. We’ve just been harshly punished in a way we are just not so ruthless.

Hanley has been monumental, Normann much improved, Giannoulis really excellent (going forward)

    I missed both Utd goals.
Was Gibson at fault for both?

Agree, I was comparing him to Gibson's quite awful play today

He made horrendous mistakes against Brentford, too. His confidence seems shot and I think we'd be better playing Zimmermann or Sorensen in his place.

What's the "catastrophic error" for the second goal? Ronaldo is the best in the world in those situations.

Agree. Gibson was tight on Ronaldo, who rose really well to score.

He was right on Ronaldo and yet still gave him a completely clean unchallenged header. I know you’re desperate not to praise Hanley, but if a centre back allows a striker to score in that situation it’s nothing shy of catastrophic.

The tightness is part of the error though. It’s his man, he got in the right place, yet allowed an east header. I don’t care if it’s against the best head in the world.

Ronaldo has scored over 800 career goals; the number of catastrophic defensive errors involved must run into hundreds -- from some of the best defenders in the world .........
