And I will continue to do so.......and for the record, I hate the owners as much as you or the next person. But not going to games because of the owners is totally bizarre........maybe because I lived overseas for so long, I appreciate being able to go to City games more than most. Of course £45 quid was obscene last night, and people (like me) maybe had to take the day off work so I can understand people not going........but not going because of the owners !!!!
He's forever slagging off other fans for their decision to protest. Probably the single worst thing about the pair of tossers who own the club, is the division they've caused among the fans and anyone who encourages further division is a twat as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not giving my money to the Allams. They spend it on legal fees so that they can get away with things like kicking out sports groups from the Airco Arena and attempting to sell their equipment on Ebay, or on 'management fees' to themselves which they chose to increase despite us being relegated and them decreasing their involvement in the club. I am not prepared to fund their ugly empire.
That's the thing - in a nutshell. Slagging other fans off because of their beliefs is a ****s trick. Vanilla Tiger has form for it ..... the prick him.
The Allams have been wilfully driving a wedge in between fans for a long time now. With that in mind, I am bemused that someone who is clearly aiding and abetting them in that can claim that he "hates them as much as anyone else". If that's the case, stop doing their bidding. They can't be defeated without a united front.
Disagree. They don't even give enough of a toss to want to divide the fanbase. It's an unintentional outcome of what they are doing. I imagine they are utterly indifferent to it all.
Okay cool....I respect self criticism But I will continue my lonely crusade to bring back together the City faithful and get them all behind the team, instead of worrying about all this owners bollocks !!!
But that's from the days when the old man took a nominal interest in the club, not like now when they've lost interest in the concept of a 'club' and for them it's become just an asset to be milked financially.
Your crusade is a waste of time, it's a waste of time because YOU don't get it. The protest isn't about supporting/not supporting the team ..... the team are a bunch of highly paid professional footballers who do their best for whoever is paying their wages - they'd be playing the same for Hull Tigers, Hull City Tigers, Allams Hull City Kickers, they really don't give a ****, nor should they, they're not fans. If any are sold this month, they'll be gone in a flash without a backward glance, I don't mind that ..... it's the nature of the beast. The protest is about Hull City and its future, anyone who believes that Hull City has a long term future, without the restoration of concessions for kids, is a blinkered **** of the first magnitude ...... the membership scheme in its present guise will kill OUR club. So, until things change, as far as I'm concerned - **** the team, players come and players go but us fans are stuck with Hull City (the club, not the team).
It's a laudable crusade, but you do seem to have a rather confrontational way of going about it. Good luck anyway.
That could be read with an unkind eye as suggesting the core meaning of what the club "is", is about how people pay to watch the team, rather than the team. I think many people would think "the club" is both those things, and lots more things besides (meeting up with friends, travelling the country, tasting success, regional rivalries, feeling a part of a movement, etc).
I make no apologies. I don't care how it's read, I support Hull City, I follow the team ....... I followed Ken Wagstaff Andy Davidson Ian Ashbee Deano etc etc, in the future I hope to be following some other names while supporting Hull City. I don't care how it's read because I truly believe if we continue to charge kids adult prices our support will die out as old ****ers like me die off.
