Not thinking of closing any bloody gap. Relegation looms with Mata on board...unless United gets another 2 top class players by the end of the week <laugh>

Still doesn't answer his decent question, though, CS. I think you will win against Cardiff; but you really can't afford a loss, and a draw would not be good.

I think you'll win this and Mata will score.

I expect to see this line up

    Players
    Mata
    Players.

Reckon it'll work. The players can all play but be interesting to see how Mata does surrounded by players.

Incredible that we are getting worried that we could get rolled over by Cardiff ? Actually on second thoughts not that incredible...

What do you lot think of 4-3-3 it would be narrow but would mean you could have a hard working defensive midfiield of Carrick, Fletcher, Jones and then Mata in the hole with Wayne and RVP.

    Thoughts?

Could possible have Mata/Rooney at the tip of the midfield 3 with 2 defensive midfielders behind.

RvP flanked by Rooney and januzaj.

Narrow but both Rooney and januzaj can cross a ball when we decide to take it out wide.

I think that at this moment a more combative midfield like I suggested would steady the ship a little and make you harder to beat, grinding out some results, there's enough attacking players in my formation to get you goals.

    What, tonight?

Aren't Carrick, Rooney and RVP still major doubts?

No just looking forward, I think it gives you some big fellas in midfield but still gives you that front 3 and Mata in the correct position.

Looking forward I doubt any of the midfielders being mentioned will be first choice.

In that case I'd prefer Fellaini to step up and play the DM role and have Jones at his proper position of centre half.

I've got no idea what is happening with Fellaini though so maybe as a temporary measure Jones plays there.
