He wasn't being cocky. Obviously you might win but there's nothing for Arsenal to fear. Your 'we will win because we're Man United' mentality is far more cocky. Personally I'd be quite shocked if they don't get a point given their midfield and yours.
How is it not cocky to blindly expect to beat a team that has been far superior this season and has a midfield in which every player would walk into yours?
Thankfully our team will be very different against arsenal. Wouldnt pay attention to Tuesdays dire game.
Read the post again Matth for **** sake. I said all their midfielders would walk into your team. Games at this level are particulatly dependent on the midfield so I find your 'we will win, fingers in ears lalala' point of view quite cocky. As for Mertesacker, he's no worse thsn Ferdinand.
Not really though. This year they're all in form. Ramsey is pure class. Wilshere is amazing ten they bought ozil. Their back up mids are better than anything we have.
And every one of our back four. Of the two sides I would have our goal keeper and back four plus all four of our strikers over any of theirs. However, Carzola, Flamini, Ozil, Wilshere, Ramsey and Arteta are all superior to every single one of our midfield, bar probably Carrick, just. And he would only sneak in as sub ahead of Arteta.
So, Meth, Mertesacker is crap is he? Just because he's slow doesn't mean he's crap, this isn't Fifa. Nobody reads the game better than the BFG.
