What you're seeing here is just how deep Fergie had allowed the rot to set in. RvP papered over MANY cracks in the squad two seasons back.
I do agree Cromer. I liken the situation at Man U to Tony Blair at number 10 in that Gordon Brown was banging on the door saying let me in let em do it and when the whole hill of sh*t was about to tumble, teflon Tony let him in and the rest is history. Similarly SAF squeezed every last drop out of an ageing and not brilliant squad and let first Moyes and now van Gaal take the hit. That said, I was staggered that they were humiliated by MK Dons, 4-0 was an amazing scoreline.

I was speaking to a Manure fan yesterday, and we were discussing the need for a new CB to be the rock at the heart of their defence that Fergie always had right from Bruce/Pallister through to Vidic and Ferdinand via Jaap Stam and he was trying to tell me that Johnny Evans is that man and is ready to step up and be the main man at the back for them.
I haven't spoken to him yet today (probably avoid him for a bit) but it would be interesting to hear if he still thinks the same this morning.....

Thank you Fleet, I do think though that Man Utd is the bigger story sadly. That was a bad night for sure!!!

He probably has a valid point?
I hope he donates it to charity. Is MUFC a qualified charity?
