As I've said the thread wasn't supposed to be funny which is why it isn't funny ............ get it now?
I can explain it a third time if you're struggling.

As for the Krays, yes I'd have had a go with either of them one on one, wouldn't you if you were threatened?
    Did you find them frightening?

To repeat my point, I don't understand how anyone can suddenly choose a club for no good reason.

Who did your gym buddy support before Sunderland and why did he start 'supporting us' 2 years ago?
Does he live in Spain, will you be seeing him again?
When you say he follows us 'very closely' ...... how closely, does he read the paper twice?

Cheers Terry, nice to see a response that actually addresses the topic.

I was genuinely interested to know why there was a massive 'green & gold' thing then nothing.
I didn't know whether it had been resolved or banned or whatever.

I think they were known as the Busby Babes before the air crash, I'm speaking purely from memory here so I may be wrong, but I know that many of those that lost their lives were very young and exciting players.

You still see them mate, it's more the 'moral values' and 'football in my day' lot that still wear them, as opposed to hot-headed idiots looking for an excuse for a row.

It's funny really, there's just some people who strive to be noticed or just love to have a moan... football supporting is supposed to be a laugh and a bit of entertainment, some people act like the are being forced to pay to go to games!

Ok you was being sarcastic but it wasn't supposed to be funny, i get it now?

And no I wouldn't have taken on either of the krays. Both were notorious gangsters and murderers, so given the chance to fight them, I would have happily rejected. It's easy to say you would fight them over an Internet forum though.

And as for the Spanish guy from the gym.

I don't know who he supported previously. But what I do know is, he brought 2 safc shirts, which is generating money for the club, and also advertising the club over seas.

He followed us closely enough to know the amount of goals fetcher scored 2 seasons ago, and to know that he was injured last year. He knew wickham was on the last year of his deal. He knew our signings and departures, and spoke to me about games that he had watched last season (on TV).

Saying that, it's irrelevant how closely he follows us. He's a person 2000 miles away from Sunderland that has chosen to support our club. He buys the shirts and advertises our club on his back. If we were to have 1000s more like him, our clubs income and identity would rise, allowing us to sign better players and have bigger ambition.

Not much of a conversation then ......... I wonder who he 'supported' then ditched them in favour of Sunderland.

Perhaps he'll choose someone else next season, I can't be doing with people like him tbh.

Incredible isn't it ....... like people who believe they've made 'an investment' by buying a match ticket.

No mate, you bought a ticket to entitle you to 90 minutes of watching football ........ that's all.

"Where has my money gone," they ask.

"None of your ****ing business," should be the answer.

Spot on, the "We pay your wages" crew know everything.

One set in front of us seem to hate Woodward, they had a chant about him last season calling him a clown and rhyming it with 'season ticket prices down'.

Just don't buy them in the first place you nuggets.

You can't be doing with people who put money into and advertise the club you support?

    You're a clever man aren't you.

Can't understand anybody who has a stance like this. It's a good job the top people at the club don't think like you. Because they are heavily advertising in Africa and America at the moment.

At the moment we can't fill the staduim of light. And with a stance like you'res we will never fill it. We need support from outside Sunderland to put more money into the club, which will in turn increase the profile which will then increase finances and in turn make us a more attractive team to follow.

What about people who buy their merchandise from this lady? Are they a good or bad thing for football clubs?

They raise the profile of a club, but obviously take money away from the club illegally, or maybe that person would never have bought the strip if it wasn't a fiver.

The money's all right but it's an absolute pittance tbh.

If some dope wants to put a few pounds into the club that's one thing but personally I have no time for people like that.
I certainly wouldn't want to spend time chatting to someone who 'supports' one team one season then changes on a whim.

Will this clown be coming to the SOL or will he 'support Sunderland' by checking the results on his i-phone?

What the club do is one thing, they just want the money.

What I do, in my personal life, is totally different ...... the two things are completely & utterly different.

Are you claiming you're better than me because you tolerate people who chop and change their team on a whim?

Anyway, does he live in Spain and what nationality is he?

How do skanks poncing about in a gym in the arse end of Spain raise a club's profile anyway?

Does anyone really believe this 'character' will inspire the Spanish to lash out on a season ticket at the SOL <doh>

It's more likely to make them think he can't afford proper gym clothes ffs.

Anyone coming into my gym wearing a football shirt would be ridiculed.

Cannot believe what Iam seeing!? Calling someone a clown you have never met and weather he's supported Sunderland for 2 seasons or 20 it doesn't matter does it he still supports the team and buys the teams merchandise!
The lad has probably got more of an idea than you as you sound like a very arrogant, uneducated man!
