Why not just say we have rejected the bid, Cesc is happy here and there will be no further developments.

Apparently Fabregas wants to stay, but if the Barca accepts a bid for him then he may feel unwanted and willing to move.

 

Interesting that the manager said he wanted to stay, but didn't say that Barca wanted to keep him and that it was great that other teams were making offers for their players.

True. If he's guaranteed to feature in the Barca midfield then there wouldn't be another club in the world that could prise him away.

Tho' Vilanova's comments don't sound like he's going to be important - when another team bids for a player you expect more from the manager than 'that's great news, I don't really care'.

Wenger seems pretty confident he's staying at Barca and given they have first option, if they are not involved it would suggest he's probably staying (plus Barca have just sold Thiago too).
