Came across this whilst reading an article about the Utd goalkeeper (who is considered to be Alex Ferguson's worst ever signing). No reason for posting it but no apologies for doing so.

Apart from Pahars excellent performance what I always remember about this game was Tiss' second goal. "Laid on a plate" according to John Motson. In fact it was a 16 yard side-foot volley which was made to look simple by the great man. The cross was whipped in too. It summed up Tiss for me. He almost made things look too easy at times.

If anyone can get the clip embedded please do so, I don't know how.

I was sat on my own in the middle of the Stretford end for that game. Loved it. For all the abuse Taibi took for that goal, if people remember, he saved a one v one from James Beattie right at the end of that game, which saved United the defeat.

Great game to be at. I just remember watching it on TV and fuming at John Motson.

Hughes always raised his game against prestigious opponents, saying that I did enjoy his short time with us & he certainly could have had more goals (what was it....2???) if a couple of his screamers hadn't hit the wood work.
