I agree with you on the first part. I only left it in through laziness and cos I thought it read better with it.

And I know one or two on here have personalised plates. Doesn't change the fact they are a 'look at me everyone' accessory.

Indeed they are, but I still contend that it's absolutely irrelevant to the Lallana incident.

To me it gives the impression that Referees have had enough of what we used to call "the big boy Charlies" seen across the prem.
We watch Prem games and see the biggest names , internationals and those courted by media yelling at the Ref and we assume the Ref
is influenced / swayed by the screaming petulant turds .
Seem the refs have more contempt for these wailers than it appears - maybe being polite and courteous to the referee could somehow work OK.

All said Rooney hasnt received enough cards for his antics to referees

The FA can confirm it received a complaint from Southampton concerning referee Mark Clattenburg and his alleged comments made to their player Adam Lallana.

The FA has given its full consideration to this matter and it is our view that the comments, as disclosed in Southampton’s letter of complaint, do not constitute misconduct under The FA’s Rules.

Consequently, The FA will not be taking any further action in relation to this matter and now considers this case to be closed.

Apparently, after Chelsea complained about him last season, Clottenburg didn't ref another one of their games for 6 months. Maybe Saints are going for the same outcome. This is a good thing, since he's a demonstrably ****ty ref.

Everton did the same a few years ago after he made some controversial decisions in a Merseyside derby, that match was his first at Goodison Park since 2007.

I'd rather we weren't the kind of club who gets pissy about who refs their games.

Moaning about referees is the territory of arseholes.
