It wouldnt be the first time people have said United need a whole new team because our time is up and weve had a year or 2 in the wilderness. A few signings ( not even big signings ) and we completely dominated the Premier League for the next 8 years. And yes, Fergie factor, Moyes is ****e etc etc. Have you been paying attention to anything I have posted for the past few months ( I wouldnt have paid attention ). Im aware how **** moyes is and how great fergie was.....ive said it enough. I just happen to rate the players more than some.
Mata really needs to play the #10 role. When rooney gets the ball his first thought is to play the ball wide, not provide the killer pass. If you want to get away from wing play you need to drop rooney or rvp and play mata in the middle.
Yep, or bring all 3 in and play them all narrow. Being the wide man in a AM 3 doesnt mean you hug the line and whip in deadly crosses like Tony V is your hero.... it should mean you are always available, moving, ready for a pass ( received or made ). Comfortable with both feet is a must. Mata could play left of Rooney if the 3 AM's were narrow rather than miles apart. Rooney would also learn he had nobody to pass too ( unless the fullbacks overlap ).
Problem with playing to narrow is that your fullbacks are often left exposed to counter attacks. That's one of the main reasons why the trio of Oscar/Mata/Hazard didn't work.
Agree in part but think you are massively over rating that defence and its potential. Evra's had his day and the rest are good but not top level. Also think you'd get found out against the best with those attacking 3 mids providing so little defensively. 2 top class mids (if you can get them - given you haven't in the last 5 years) will certainly make you stronger, not sure it would make you 'dominant' again though; especially without Fergie.
I thought he was signing it because no one else would go near him on those wages. Except QPR- I expect Redknapp to double United's offer.
Liverpool are favourites to beat United at Old Trafford, claims legend Fowler - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...United-Old-Trafford-claims-legend-Fowler.html
So his focus is on his years growing up in his Crocky crackden hating us rather than than wanting to beat us for Utd's cause?
United are actually the favourites at around 6/4 if you fancy pissing some of your pocket money away.
