    Spot on again syd.
Like o'shea but if he's undecided lets make his mind up for him. Withdraw the offer.

Or is he trying to up his wages or not drop his wages as much?

I say let's just go with the lads who show respect.
Crouch showed respect in coming up, seeing what we offered and then said no. I'll respect that. If he wants to come up again, irrespective of the silly mind games 'Arry is playing, he'll be very welcome.
Henderson has shown a lot of respect for his club. As a Sunderland lad, you might say that's more understandable, but even so, good luck to the lad (well, 36 times per season).
Gibson and N'Gog seem to be looking at us respectfully so I will look favourably upon them. (Is it pure coincidence that I think they're good players too?)
It's when the players start playing the field, seeing what else is on the table, generally following their agents' advice to up their value, that I think they can stuff it. Brown and O'Shea seem to be in this latter category.
Thought Hutton had a lot of respect for us too.
You can see on the field too that players like Bardsley, Bramble, Welbeck, Sessegnon and no doubt others I forget have this sort of respect and humility, the idea that Sunderland AFC are offering them something and those players are ready to give something back. These are the players I want to see in Sunderland shirts. These are the ones you look back on and say that they were great players: I go back to the Hurley era and would put all of the team in that category, most of the lads who played in 73. When you get a lot of those players together, they're not necessarily the best players but you get extra return on them because of this respect and humility they have. Kevin Ball springs to mind. Yoo see what I mean. These are the players I want to see here.

Brown = Used to be world class doesn't seem to be doing the business for quite some time. MR says no!

O'Shea = As has been stated very versatile player useful in any squad, plus he would be in the team not in and out, not like at Utd. Would only improve his form. MR says yes!

Gibon = Strange one this, sometimes he looks brilliant other times he looks dire. Even when he is dire he still looks better than that muppet Carrick mind. Once again regular first team footy would improve his form I think. MR says possibly!

Trouble is, of all the recent players we have had, Bent showed th most spirit, loyalty and commitment, right up until the moment he ****ed off to a Birmingham hotel and shoved two fingers up to us all. I think I'd rather have some mercenary twat who comes without pretence but does a top job for 18 months or 2 years. No fuss and if we sell him on for profit then fine.

Bents Judas moment ripped the heart out of me as far as supporting these worthless ****ers goes.

Spot on Cestia !! But never mind me auld marra..Mr Bent might just have landed himself right in the s**t at Villa. Looks like they re gonna have to backtrack on a manager..latest reports are suggesting McClaren now, Young and Downing are on their way it would seem and they have 7 first team players out of contract. All in all ive got the buggers down as potential relegation candidates. So Mr Bent might just be on the move again...maybe even to the fizzy pop league next season

I dont know, imho Brown is better than Rio Ferdinand, just a different type of defender.

I would rather have Brown than O`shea, he is a better defender than O`shea by a mile, O`shea has more verstitily maybe, but Browns is the better player. (its onlt the past 2 years where injury has hampered him, but to say he is past it at 31, or wouldnt have got a cap if he didnt play for Man U is just silly).

    Spot on MR.

Trappotoni ? favours Andrews and Whelan for ROI to Gibson. He rarely gives the ball away, good passer and has cracking RF.Tackles likes Jordan and goes awol from time to time.Probably seems right.

O'Shea versatile and would improve our defense. So yes seems right.

Wes Brown potentially the best of the three but **** no more injury prone players. So No seems right.

Whatever I hope Bruce and Quinny aren't panting with there knickers round there ankles waiting for this trio.

Agreed Mackems, but then we would not have been able to have them for obvious reasons, but now, sadly not for me, we need to progress.
