I, actually, thought the tactics were right. Our players lacked the ability to apply them. On the all too few occasions the front three were given the ball to feet, they showed that we could run at and beat a player. We were forced to go 4-4-2 after the break as a result of the second goal which was crucial to the game. The resultant formation showed little, if any, improvement and was only effective when they were reduced to ten men. We were outclassed through brilliant passing and movement and our only hope was how we played it. The system employed last night will keep us in League One.
