He made 3 crucial saves. Doesn't deserve the stick he's getting. The only goal that went past him today was down to zonal marking. He couldn't of done anything about it.

'Flint was fantastic first half but was at fault for there goal'

I'll have to look at it again RR. I thought it was Ayling who couldn't get off the ground.
Whatever - this holding hands business is a fu**ing joke.

'Doesn't deserve the stick he's getting'

I think he deserves every bit of stick he's getting.
Useless at crosses and that 'punch' - that set up a golden opportunity from 10yards for them and could have changed the game.
Sorry, we need a new keeper.

Tend to agree RP, with reservations.
If we could have got Moore (or a rough equivalent) then I would have been happy.
However, I would not recommend putting Fielding through the wringer, as it is rather important we keep him in confident form.
He is after all our goalkeeper.

If we're going to bring a keeper in I hope its Fon Williams. Would be a cheap option and very experienced in this league and to top it off he happens to be a very decent keeper!

Flint for me, and like RP(Victor) says I thought it was Ayling who was marking thingy for them. I was impressed with Wilberham. I've said for a while I prefer Sam alongside another forward and thought he look's more comfortable. I'm looking forward to this partnership.

Having said that ROD, it does ask the question where can we play our best players ?

Have a little look through his selection of Bristol City goals from last year, anyone who is doubtful about JET.
    Lets just remind ourselves…

To me, Ayling looks sound enough - could well be worth giving him a little space to grow

Can't vote on this one because I didn't listen to the match as it was 4:00 am here, and besides which I don't recognise half the names. Did something happen to our roster over the summer that I missed (LOOOOOOOOL).

He did, but their goal was down to him not picking up his man

It was Ayling, but what was that defensive arrangement?- I don't like marking zones, you need to mark players, man for man.

Having been a keeper myself, I know what its like when you are having a bad one and it does panic the defence. I have mixed views on Fielding. At present, he is holding the shirt and there isn't a lot of cover, so he doesn't need his confidence broken further- Long term, I don't think he can be the answer,we cant rely on a keeper who is a good shot stopper but likely to make costly errors. This seems to be the view of fans of his previous clubs, so it has been there for a while.

I think its unlikely that we will get Moore as he is No2 now at Cardiff and they need cover themselves.

What is annoying watching the football league show last night is seeing Gerken (Ipswich) and Henderson (Charlton) playing regularly in the championship!

Great post gdknac - agree with every word. Though with regard to Gerken he did not come off his line enough for me

I don't think Ayling had a bad game really, just RR was saying it was Flint at fault. I thought Ayling looks like he can grow into that role.

I said a few weeks back Flint in the middle with two ball players in either Williams Osbourne and Ayling would be ok with me. Flints not the best (or wasn't last season) on the floor. But he's great in the air and watching some set pieces yesterday follows orders well. Hopefully everyone see's Aiden Flint we all hoped we signed last season when everyone was hoping he signs for us.

Thankyou- I know what you mean about Gerken. Be interesting to see how Heaton gets on this year in the Prem too.
