Proud of all the players we took the game to city and not many other teams would have beaten us today!

If we play like that for the rest of the season, we should avoid the dog fight at the bottom, very encouraged by today's performance, just need to cut out the mistakes at the back!.................<ok>

I'd still like a better centre half.

Cant complain it could have gone our way if the luck had been with us instead of them with the deflections and the lads showed some of the grit thats been missing too.

This performance today makes you wonder why we couldn't play like this against the likes of Hull and Villa.

An excellent performance all round imo but you can't back off defensively against a team like Man City and expect to get away with it. They really didn't have to work very hard to win that game but that's a familiar story against the top teams.

Special mentions: JDG and Bony. The former played well throughout, making tackles and provided the cross for the goal, whilst Bony was immense and hardly put a foot wrong.

Another special mention: Tremmel: He's costing us points by the bucketload.

But if we play like that in the remaining games we'll definitely finish top half imo.

Another good performance today. Bony is looking immense, unlucky not to get a hat-trick.

The amount of power Bony generates while striking the ball from an almost standstill position is incredible.

dissapointed but the extra class all that money buys you showed in the end. shame Bony didnt get that goal earlier but he was superb today - one real positive. the 2nd goal was unfortunate we were well on top at the time and it knocked the stuffing out of us. Tremmel should have done better with the 3rd im worried about his form and Shelvey was poor today. Still we kept our heads up and overall im proud of the effort. we are clearly not relegation material but we need to bring a few players in cos we could easily get sucked into it.

Great performance and unlucky not to get something. If our defence wasn't such s***e we could have got something today. That said, there were a lot of "iffy" performers out there. Ben is not playing well. Shelvey's head dropped after a decent start and Lamah is just too weak. The less said about Routledge the better. Oh, and Tremmell... not good enough.

On the other hand, JdG had a very good game, Canas was sound and Rangel was good going forward but was caught out of position when they broke quickly. But the star? For me it was Bony, Bony, Bony, all the way. Won't go into detail because we all saw it. I just hope that a certain poster will shut his trap and acknowledge that Bony is a terrific buy. Just needs service. He got it today - scored two and unlucky not to get a hat trick.

Tremmel's confidence is low, but it is to be expected after the poor run we have had, but things should pick up if we put in shifts like that today, my only concern is the attitude of our players, because we always raise our game for the top teams, and don't turn up for the fight with the bottom teams!.........<ok>

No ivor, Dai won't shut his trap. Just disappear for a while.

Feel like "blowing smoke up De Guzman's ass" Drag? I think that's waht you said about my praise of him recently.

You're strangely silent on one of our best performers today. :)

Not in a million years would Ki have put in a performance like that in defence and attack.

Soft defending cost a result, but that is a VERY encouraging performance. Finally Bony gets some service and look what happens! We need to set up like this against Man Utd and attack them!

My only reservations are how we got too desperate after the Kolarov goal, and of course the Hernandez injury is worrying. He's a great player potentially, but will he ever be match fit?

<laugh> ...and you said I knew nothing about football. Statistically JDG is the highest assist provider in the team and his defensive game has improved immeasurably but you want rid. <doh> At least sensible posters accept it when he's had a good game. You just cannot accept you're wrong can you? Easily our best player today after Bony.

Nothing "contentious" about my comment so there's no need to be so defensive. You made the remark about me blowing smoke up his ass so you can't really complain when such a 'contentious' comment bites you on yours can you? :)

Just interested if you're prepared to admit the guy played well. Clearly not, and that's fine. All opinions welcome. <ok>
