So you're saying that the problem is that we're not scoring goals Dai? Really? I had no idea. Thanks for pointing that out, maybe you do know things after all
Wrong! We're scoring goals and there are 11 worse than us! 12 palace 15 Sunderland 15 Cardiff 16 Norwich 18 stoke 18 west ham 18 villa 19 Fulham 22 WBA 22 hull 22 Tottenham So I don't buy we're not scoring goals, what it tells me is that were missing a prolific scorer a la michu (so is man u RVP, villa benteke, etc....) what that tells me is that were suffering from fatigue because of the Europa league and fatigue explains some of our poor performances and inconsistent squad selections. Try again boys
I've noticed we play better when I'm out of the country - maybe it will happen again as I'm in a hotel in China at the moment, but will be in the Philippines when we play Man City. A win for sure.
Bloody hell stop finding excuses and trying to be clever because our 3 main strikers have got a total of 7 goals between them and that is the reality, Now compare that with the amount of possession and pass rate then its obvious we have a problem and its a big problem now we are half way through the season. It cannot carry on or we will pay the consequences as we approach the business end of the season. Its not about what other teams do its about us and us only....Points win prizes and we are dropping points left right and center because our strikers are not performing to the standard we know they can do...
You said were not scoring goals and I showed you that we actually are! what we're doing is not keeping goals out! And that is down to fatigue! Caused by the E.U.R.O.P.A League!!!! It's so ****ing obvious!
Also in previous threds I have pointed out that it's hard to criticise michu and bony's goal scoring record because they have been suffering from injury! You seem to have blinkers on all the time ignoring everyone's points until you think it's your own discovery.
If that is what you are happy with and are prepared for the worst then that's your choice but i don't think its good enough and injury excuses don't wash with me and will never use it as they have played enough games and still didn't score or look like scoring....I said at the beginning of the season that the squad is far too small and its proving to be the case. the amount of possession we have is second to none and we still lose or draw because we cant finish and to me that is a huge problem, And something else i cant understand, ML was one of the best players of all time of going forward and making and scoring goals out of nothing so where is his input with our midfielders and strikers as its non existent from a player of such high caliber. He is the manager after all so why don't he do something about it....
Dai stop being dramatic! We're not getting relegated! There is a reason why we seem ineffective in the final third and that's because teams know it's pointless trying to play us so what they do is throw most players deep let us play in safe areas then smash us on the break! In a way it's flattering because they play us as if were one of the big clubs, but the difference between us and big clubs is that we don't have the strikers and will struggle to get strikers with the ability to score goals out of nothing. And I also think this season we have been a bit unlucky not to have beaten Liverpool, hull, villa and stoke and think we deserved at least a point from the Everton game that gives us 9 extra points which is quite considerable! To even have half would have us around the same total as the high flying Southampton! Now the second half of the season will be kinder to us as we do not have the EUROPA league to juggle!!!!
Dramatic we are not getting relegated ???? I would not be so sure if i was you...Its not about that its about how much we have dropped our standards and everyone saying we are not the same team. like i said earlier one paper see's us as a C minus where for the previous seasons saw us as an A minus. so dramatic does not come into it at all, the reality does...
Reality is that were 11th and in a knockout stage of the Europa league! Dai you or I don't have the ability to predict the future but your logic is completely flawed and all circumstantial!! If every team replicates the first half of the season then we're fine so this were doomed talk is not constructive and only impresses Cardiff fans! Why do you always dodge the facts and dwell on the negative all the time?
All the years that I have been reading this forum I have never seen you write anything positive about us! You always say we're doomed but it never has happened has it!!!!
You are not being real...Don't look at 11th place look at how we are playing and the points we are dropping.11th place is not relevant at this stage and 17th place is only a couple of losses away, That is the reality of the situation and not 11th place god man wake up..
Dai don't you think that the Europa league had a part to play in some of those draws/losses (Don't think he can avoid that one)
Dai FACT we have done enough so far to stay up! Everything you are saying is circumstantial! We are not in the relegation zone so until we are it will only be circumstantial!
You are in serious need of a reality check son! We are down the bottom end of the form table, just in front of Fulham, we are dropping like a stone, and I don't suppose the penny will drop until we have cleared the next 4 games! Keep dreaming though if it makes you feel good...................
Football is all about goals, something that we are really struggling to find, and unless we do very well in the transfer window, we are in for a very bumpy ride. We have Dyer out, our best Winger, Michu last years glory boy, and Bony now carries the can, and we cannot for love of money feed him decent ball, so those of you that think everything is fine, really need to take a cold shower, wake up and smell the coffee!.....................
City are not the same team away from home and Crystal Palace showed that their attack isn't the same without Aguero. Nasri will be suspended as well,, which is good as he is in hot form. If we don't retreat into our shell while maintaining a solid defensive line, and actually give Bony some ****ing crosses like we did against Stoke, there is no reason why we can't get a point or more from this game unless City turn up in title winning mode.
