With Shelvey's shots, the missed sitter and the penalty we should at least be level if not in front. We are doing well, fair play. Agree though, that I'm s******g myself every time Citeh attack. Top side but strong with it.

Shelvey having a decent game and he might yet pop a long one in.

Twice caught ambling back from a corner... he is his own worst enemy at times and no wonder he gets criticized at times. Oh, and he should've scored but the ball did bob a bit.

I'd really love to see Laudrup unleash Dyer on that right flank, and let him play the touchline, and get behind them!...............<ok>

Some JDG hysteria again. He's played really well first half and did well to create the chance. The ball bobbled and that made a difference - any person who has played the game will tell you that. Still think he should have scored though because he should have gone for placement, not power.

The wise ones here saying pull him off can perhaps tell us who they will replcae him with.

Canas is Jekyll and Hyde. He was to blame for their goal in gifting a free kick (Tremmel to blame too) and has given the ball away for fun as predicted. However, he's made one or two excellent tackles in the box. Needs to step up concentration imo.

Overall, a very good 45 mins. BBC saying that with the exception of Bayern Munich, its the best a team has played at the Etihad.

Shelvey for me has been brilliant, and Pablo, Canas, Tiendalli, all giving it a good go. I think we will score 2nd half (Donnelly my prediction) but I'm not sure we will keep them to just 1 over 90 mins.

He is playing the same level as the rest of the team but he is lazy, if he wasn't lazy we'd have two more chances. He is so far the prime suspect to be subbed.

regarding all the JDG stuff - he's having a far more positive effect on the game than Pablo is.

He is doing good, there is just that one bad part to his game and it still happens in his better performances. He would be far more popular if he gave 100%.

De Guzman could have cut that pass out if he sprinted for a bloody change.
