Swanselona, goal difference doesn't work like that in the Europa League. What counts is the aggregate score against St. Gallen.

    So for example:
If St. Gallen beat Kuban and we draw against Valencia, then we'll have 9 points and St. Gallen will have 6 points.
Then if St. Gallen beat us 2-0 we're out on aggregate score against St. Gallen.

So we really need St. Gallen to draw or lose tomorrow.

stop blaming officials and put most of the blame on our own making. If we are not winning then its our fault and no one elses as we are the ones in control of our own destiny and so far this season we have not been good enough. its as plain and as simple as that. Refs make mistakes in all games not just ours so stop moaning and do better. we have not been brilliant this season and we cant blame the officials for that...

Totally agree Dai - not necessarily that you can't level blame at some of the reffing we all have to put up with, it's variable to say the least, but to keep harping on about it whilst ignoring other factors is pointless.

Making your own luck maybe an overused expression, but focusing on outside elements that you can do very little about and not tackling internal shortcomings is farcical.

That Man City game certainly looks a biggy now with your two top guys upfront sidelined, but that's what Laudrup is there for. He should be able to put together a plan to frustrate them at least. Coming back with a point would be a great return.

Why should we stop blaming officials when their incompetence is costing us points on a regular basis? You want to put your head in the sand and just criticise the team. In fact, you only ever seem happy when you do criticise the team.

Yes, we could be playing better but when our efforts are cancelled out for no good reason, it costs us points and puts stress on the players that shouldn't be there. Team morale takes a beating and it's hard to recover from. If you had ever played this game at a decent level, you would understand this. But you haven't, so you don't.

Having good goals chalked off for no good reason is NOT being in charge of our own destiny. Having penalties awarded against us for no good reason is NOT being in charge of our own destiny. In those cases our destiny is in the hands of certain match officials who are not fit for purpose. You ought to be able to understand that much.

    What a crock of ****.
We went behind and what did our players do? Respond and score a perfectly legitimate goal. It was obviously a good goal in the stadium and TV proves conclusively it was good.
You want me to level the responsibility for not getting an equaliser at the players door when they did score the equaliser? No chance.

It's about time the people who run the game clean up their act. They can start by introducing video refs as they have done in every other major televised sport and getting the big decisions correct.

Their refusal to do so, the corrupt megalomaniac that is Sepp Blatter at the helm, the awarding of the World Cup to Quatar (bribes accepted up in lights) and the prosecution of Refs and players taking bribes in Italy and Turkey is stinking the game out.

Any genuine Swans fan knows that we have been on the end of a series of disgusting, not incorrect...disgusting, decisions going back to the back end of last season. You say we get these calls in our favour sometimes? Name me one dodgy decision that resulted in us either scoring (we set the record for not being awarded a pen for ****s sake) or the opposition having a good goal chalked off.

Name me one and I'll give you at least 10 that went against us.

It stinks and we deserve some answers from those who govern football.

The problem is Terror, most fans (of whatever club) tend to only remember the ones that go against you.

Exactly and our own fans must be top of the league for that..try looking closer to home to find why we are not as good this season instead of putting the blame elsewhere....

I remember that one mate, defo penalty . There was one at spurs where michu was knocked out and not only did the ref not stop the game but he gave us nothing there too !

No doubt about it we are not having one bit of luck these last few months <ok>

Coming back with a point would be more than a great return it will be a miracle....Laudrup don't have the skill or knowhow to do something as simple as that and i expect man city not to go above 3rd gear to comfortably win...but as there is always a but....Miracles do happen..

Kompany Silva & Nastasic have been ruled out for tomorrow,so the team I think we will start with

    Pantilimon
    Zabaleta Demichellis Lescott Clichy
    Milner Fernandinho
    Aguero yaya Nasri
    Negredo

Our back line is pretty dodgy, how Swansea choose to exploit it will be key
I expect we will look to concede possession and look to pick you off on the break, that's how Pellegrini likes to take on the better passing sides

My concern is Rangel being unavailable , he's been rock this season , perhaps Ben on the left Taylor on the right and with Chico still being erratic I'd play Amat ( played well Thursday, simple things right ) alongside Ash , watching the game Thursday he had a tendency to wander and we can't afford that to happen tomorrow.
Dyer and Pablo with Leon & De Guzman Poz, Lamah Vazquez .
We still a dangerous side without our "stars" and with a lot of hard work and a bit of luck who knows .
