I watched Man City put out a strong side against Sporting in last years Europa, they got beat 1-0. Sporting were probably at the standard we are approaching so who knows, City at their most average and 'orns at their best and we could get a good draw or maybe a shock win.....

Kev, ask your boss to suggest somewhere to park if you would be so kind, pm me.

Tickets will likely be £25 and a fiver for under 16s
Loads of secure parking around the ground for £5,very little off street parking.Easiest place for away fans is a large car park behind ASDA on Alan Turing Way

I'm a Watford fan but you think we're on a par with Sporting Lisbon? FFS <doh>

In short FFS, yes and I would add that as Watford continue to improve might even exceed that standard. My post reflected on that particular match where City didn't turn up, Ballotelli kept falling over looking for free kicks and if I remember correctly as a team they were well below par. Sporting on the other hand passed the ball with confidence and technically were good in most areas, so, a bit like where we are heading

Just to repeat, if they have a below average day and we get to our very best we could get a good draw or sneak it.

Just to add, the Liga Sagres isn't a strong league, a bit like the Scottish Prem with 3-4 reasonable sides, the rest just ,make up the 16. Sporting, who I follow are 8th with 11 points from 10 games. In my opinion our glorious 'Orns would be doing better than that at this stage therefore are on a par.

This was their side when they lost at home to Villa (AET) in the Capital One Cup: Pantilimon, Lescott, Kolarov, K Toure, Nastasic, Milner, Barry, Razak, Tevez, Suarez, Balotelli Subs: Wright, Zabaleta, Sinclair, Helan, Evans, Dzeko, Scapuzzi. It wouldn't surprise me if we won't be facing a similar line-up depending on injuries and suspensions.

As for Savic, I thought he'd left on a loan which expired on Jan 1st - it looks like I was mistaken.

Its a nice thought, but Man City will probably stay up this season.

I see there are quite a few Man City fans known to the people who post on this site and so I wonder what team did most of them support before City won the premiership - I only ask because in my experience most people who support the top team in the premiership tend to change every time someone else wins something!! Oh yes and do they give away their old United shirts to poor African kids?

To be fair to my boss, he has always supported them, even when they were pretty rubbish! He has a season ticket and goes to all the home games, a lot of away, and most of the cup games. He has become unbearable since their success, but you can;t really begrudge him it after them being in the shadow of Man Utd for so long!

I'm sure if (yes Nick, IF) we get promoted, and then become a main-stay in the Prem, our numbers will increase too, like any successful team....

I have a few mates who support City and they have done so since the year dot. Some of them are thinking of giving up on it as it's not like the old days where they went from desperation and desolation to delight every 5 minutes or so<laugh>

Optimist I suppose as I think the 'Orns have some chance of avoiding relegation this season.

'If they get promoted' says Hampshire - well even if no points deduction ..if they get promoted this season I'll buy my wife a birthday present (we've got 'Poundlands' where I live)

My mate comes from South Yorks, lives in Ayr and has been a City fan since the 70's and manages to get to half a dozen games a season. I know what you mean, it's like some Chelsea fans as well, but City have had a core support through their darker days as well
