Is this a sports day 'dads versus kids' match <yikes>

City must have **** themselves when Sam unleashed Roger Johnson & Macca against their forwards.

This tie is over. Could be 5 or 6 this. Have WHU actually been in the City half yet?

I guess both us and Utd know who will we will be meeting in the the final from our 2nd leg.

They didn't need to play the game the outcome was always inevitable, they're a mess and Man City are unreal. Technicalities eh? <laugh>

West Ham could actually self implode here in the league as well. Morale sapping defeats like this are not what you need when your struggling anyway and that can only be good for us. In contrast, we should be able to use our excellent cup form to build confidence in the league.

    Well hopefully anyway?

Looking round the West Ham team, you have to ask, 'How many of these players are ****e?'

If we can't finish above this lot we deserve to go down two divisions never mind one.

I knew this would happen. Good for us two big defeats in a row, their confidence will be rock bottom

I think thats why I am pleased we played our first leg at home as a big Old Trafford defeat would have made our 2nd leg pointless too. The way it is set up now it is just perfectly balanced imo. We have enough to go there and build on; they have enough to believe they can overturn it and in both camps there will be dreams aplenty.

4-0 with 40 mins to go? Could be 7 or 8 never mind 5 or 6.

Like I said mind, no one could live with this kind of football. Negredo is simply an awesome footballer.

Incredible ..... McCartney turned his back on the shot then, when it went in, put his hands on his knees and hung his head.

Brought back loads of memories <doh>

To put it into perspective, we paid £12m for Fletcher and City paid £16m for Negredo.

Makes you think a bit doesn't it?

Cest are you going to the 2nd leg? Reckon it is set up nicely BUT it does mean we have to score an away goal (0-0 v unlikely!) which hasn't been out forte!

They are awesome at home mate but average aways from home. We've beaten them 4 times and drawn once at the SOL in the past 4 years?

5-0 and heading for a record League Cup Semi Final scoreline me thinks.

he's on £200k per week though compared to Fletchers £35k £10.4m per year v £1.82m on a 4 year contract, huge difference mate, nearly £40m
