I agree, mostly positives in a result we were all expecting. Deserved something from the game. Dead sick.

Play like that from now on and we'll be up the table in no time.

Superb effort by all and so unlucky to lose. Really looking forward to the next two home games now, phew!

Weirdest goal ever? Fed to Gomis, fab pass, fab finish - bizarre!

Even still, am very happy with that performance. We tested their keeper throughout and probably should have bagged a few more, our passing play was much more slick, everyone kept busy all game closing down and working for eachother, and Gomis finally broke his draught! If we continue like that we should be climbing the table in no time.

Final mention for Rangel, looked much more stable on the right than what I have seen from Naughton. Definitely deserves to keep his place next game.

Looks like Jenkins chat to the players had an impact too. Curtis has shown Monk how to set a team up as well.

I would only want Curt as manager if he was willing to step back down to coach if he were to fail. I wouldn't want him to be sacked and have to leave the club permanently as he offers too much in his coaching role.

Much much much better !! the best team lost, glad for Gomis breaking his duck at last, Ref protected man c to much giving them every opportunity to nick it and disgraceful decision to deny Siggies excellent goal from the 50/50 Gomis v Heart challenge !! 65% happy with that even though we lost , after all the **** thats been served up since end of Aug and this weeks shenanigans. Almost got that dreamland feeling back in that game must be first on motd to show the press winkers how the team have reacted to Monks exit !! !!

Somehow top teams seem to just get the luck they need. Poor shot from Yaya deflected in - what can you do? We had great shape about us, hit fast on the break, looked a threat whenever we had the ball, got in behind 3 or 4 times, created a goal, had 7 shots on target...Even at the end we almost made a goal with a 20+ pass move.

We are Swansea. We are back. We're not going to go down if we continue to play like that. Such a HUGE improvement on anything we've seen this season. The Monk shackles are off, boys and girls. We all had this game down as a loss, the fact that we almost snuck a point and lost to a deflection is one thing, but the skill we had on display and the ability to keep the ball...to go from not stringing 5 passes together unless they're along the back four to being able to play our way through 15-20 pass moves in Man City's territory shows that it was our ex-manager's ability to manage our players and tactics that was holding us back.

Curtis also picked a team with a more natural balance and made the correct subs.

How about Ryan Giggs as manager with Curtis stepping up as number 2 (doubt he'd want the managers job)?
