Got a nasty feeling that the barcodes will eventually overtake us this weekend after playing catch up for most of it . . . . . . . . . . . . just waiting for the bite.
As long as we play well and put effort in that's all I ask, play like we did against Liverpool and we'll get torn apart and City will hammer us. We are due an away win just don't think it'll come tomorrow will take a draw now as would most of us if honest.
SB needs to play his players in their strongest positions and not weaken other areas, play to our strengths and we could nick a draw play like tools and it's squeaky bum time (even before the curry tonight).

I think, bearing in mind what paul said about the City backs, we need to go 4-4-2 and get at them on the wing. Would love to see Elmo on to use his pace but cant see Henderson or Muntrai dropped so for me it would be.

Looks good to me syd mind you it's probably our best line up given injuries and suspensions. Not sure about Sess on the left might have gone with Zenden for the first half at least.
I'm not Mensahs biggest fan but if he plays half as good as he did against England then he'll have a very good game just hope the rest of the team realise that we need to stop losing games and get at them from the off, nothing at all to lose and maybe after recent results City will be the more nervous of the two teams so why not.

Blackburn just proved against Arsenal if the whole team puts a shift in anything is possible!
And it wasn't a red card, ****ing Wilshere whining to the ref again, linesman didn't even flag!

This isn't the time of season to be carrying passengers, if someone on the pitch isn't putting a shift in, get them off the ****ing pitch sharpish.
Bruce needs to get his tactics sorted early against City, they will be out of the blocks from the off.

Good morning campers...Not long to go now before the end of my 12 hour nightshift; then it will be straight to bed so I can be reasonably fresh for the game this afternoon. I'm always hopeful that we can pull off a victory, but I have to say that if I was offered a draw now I would take it...Ha'Way the Lads

Good morning MrRAW, hope you sleep well. After yesterdays results we find ourselves in our lowest position of the season but I think we fans will be panicing more than the players, they know the games ahead and what they need to do.

The team now have all the skill and experience needed and have had long enough to adjust to each other, all they need to add is fight and desire, today would be a great day to start. I'm hoping they sat and watched the Ghana boys on Tuesday evening and noted the passion they showed, if they can reproduce a fraction of that we will have no problem.

Its that little nasty word again, if...

We're not expected to get anything out of today's game, naturally we are the underdogs for this one but even if we do get beat, I hope we can put on a good show and not roll over.

If we show commitment and passion then it's possible we can come away with something.

I just hope and pray we get away from this 3 cb idea or 4-5-1, most have an attacking set up for me

Lots of bad results for us yesterday which means the pressure will be shared now and not all on City. As thought the barcodes went above us (big surprise), just hope we play as well as we all know we can and not fold again. This is a big game for SB in my opinion he gets his tactics right we get something he gets them wrong we get overrun and the pressure will mount for the last batch of games which are not going to be the walk overs some are expecting.

They were never there for me syd too long in the tooth and too many let downs by SAFC to even think that.

Interesting remarks fron a Citeh fan regarding their FB's. Agree entirely that their flanks are the weak points and we MUST get at them - Sess on the left and JH or Elmo on the right, get to the byline and pull the balls back. Nightmare for defenders, fantastic for forwards/midfielders to come on to. Mancini plays the Italian style/tactics and with the sheer talent available, a totally defensive set up invites them forward and allows them to weave magic.

Go at them with pace and let's see what happens, Haway the Lads!!

Remember the old Westham team that went down 2003, played some nice football, lots of skill , hard to imagine a team like that going down

David James, Glen Johnson, Joe Cole, Defoe, Di Canaio , Mchael Carrick, Kanoute, Les Ferdinand, someone called Don Hutchinson, Steve Lomas and Trevor Sinclair almost forgot him but was a decent player and some England caps.
