Very disappointing to lose to an own goal and a penalty but we did well today with the team we put out.
Exactly it's important he is fit for the boro game. We played well, the new lads did well. Moyes has been here 3 weeks and he did really well. That was probably the best side in the league with the best manager in the world. We took them all the way in their own ground. Gutted about the result but encouraged by the performance.
unlucky lads. we list all composure when defoe went off like, and just invited them onto us. a proper midfield would have made a world of difference. nowt mcnair could do about his OG. hope he bounces back ala kirchoff.
Not rubbish Lostinvegas, just very unlucky to lose to a penalty and an own goal. I think you've a good season ahead because City were lucky.
You have misread my post, I was saying rubbish to the comments made about Moyes losing us the game. We were very unlucky today.
I'm not having a go at Moyes, far from it. I thought we done really well today, especially considering the team we put out there. His last substitution did cost us the game though.
Men against boys. But those boys stuck in, very proud of them. Kaboul and Kone immense. Love did some OK things but scary at right back Agree re khazri taking corners Fantastic ball from Rodwell for defoe
Can't complain as it was a great effort with a really quite weak Sunderland side compared to what it could be. Still a bit gutted thanks to coming so close to getting something though. We could be on for a good season here lads.
Its hard to judge any of the new lads yet until they get match fitness and sharpness, especially Januzaj's corner taking ability. Ive taken alot of positives from todays game. OShea should never start again though!
Well we can say sods law. I just think it was a bad decision. I'm coming across really bad here, like I'm upset or angry with Moyes. I'm not, I thought we were excellent after that first 20 minutes.
I know theres never a doubt about his fitness hes fit as a fiddle but id have hated to think he needlessly reinjured his groin. The Physios and doctors know more than us.
John O'Shea doesn't have the engine to play where he is. He'd ran to a stand still. Why McNair didn't come on for him instead of defoe I don't know.
Take off a forward and stiffen the mid-field with a defender at 1-1 (which would have been a great result), yeh really stupid by Moyes he played a shocker.
