Kagawa would start for me. He's their best creative player. As would Mata at Chelski. The main problem with Rooney is consistency. He had a great game against Leverkusen, then a poor one today (despite the FK). He does that too often.
It happens to some players/teams after they have played in Europe a few days earlier, their level at the weekend seems to drop, thought it didn't affect Arsenal/Man City and Swansea, though the Swans were playing Palarse.
Everyone is going on about Kagawa, but he only played 21 times in league last year. IMO he's not the answer and is no more then a squad player.
He was injured for a large chunk of the season and the year before he won Bundesliga player of the year. He most definitely is the answer.
Kagawa offers far more than Cleverley. I used to be a Cleverley fan, but he seems to be going backwards. As do Man United.
A lot of people are saying this is a transitional season for Utd, they can't or don't have the money to throw around, Moyes is there for the long term, look what he did at Everton. Once he gets the defence sorted he'll be able to sort out the rest of the team. Fellaini will be good for them regardless of how he has played so far. The problem they have is old players coming to the end in key positions. Maybe they have some kids coming through or are aware of some end of contracts next summer. Utd fans will whinge & whine about Moyes but they won't get rid, unless they are that stupid. He might not get as long as Fergie did but IMO he won't need it, they'll still be there or there abouts come the end of the season, I still think higher than Liverpool.
Man City wanted it more than Utd who were poor full stop. Moyes looked powerless and clueless to stop it. Rooney gave the final score a better look than MU deserved imo. Puts our result and performance into context as well now. Newcastle and Man Urd hit for 4 each whilst the so called whipping boys only go down 2-0.
