Oh without a doubt. For sure your main players will be worth much much more and so they should. You have been a breath of fresh air this season and I don't wish to take anything away from your team. However, Manchester City really should be able to cope without Kompany and the way they played against you was a disgrace. But the big clubs really will have to take a long hard look at themselves for the way they have allowed a so called "relegation" team get to the top of the PL tree. If you win @ Arsenal and Man City beat Spurs on Sunday that should be game over. I did say should be..........
... in fairness, a number of people struggle with the spelling of Roman place names ... I blame the education system rather than the individuals ...
Regardless of where you finish, the profile of Leicester City in the Far East and other emerging markets must have been raised massively by events so far. May I humbly suggest that your club takes a marketing lesson from ours and considers a rebranding to say, Leicester Hunter or Leicester Foxes? I feel sure this would bring in additional revenue streams and differentiate you from the other common City's such as Manchester and Norwich.
Possession means sod all in football. In rugby possession normally results in wins. Possession is no use if you are tip tapping it about side to side in your own half them losing the ball in the opponents half or never troubling the keeper with on target shots.
No one is arguing with that. But if the cost of the team determined the outcome of matches then there would be no upsets.
you are spot on about the far east brand growth (we already had a club shop in Bangkok airport - suspect they have been doing a roaring trade in replica shirts since August) ... but I think that we may decline the name change idea! ... in fairness we couldn't wish for better owners ... every fan given a complimentary singha beer at Xmas, away travel paid for more than once and even breakfast laid on for early morning away trips ... been a breath of fresh air tbf to them ...
And also the one that took us down so pathetically last season. We may be top of the table (for now), but most of the time the football we are playing is dour; even more so when you consider what he's spent and what he's got at his disposal. Maybe finally I'm more interested in how we perform, and how much I enjoy a game. Maybe you are a glory hunting PL bitch. Still, you are entitled to your opinion, and hope you enjoy doing the Steve Bruce seal impression. Each to their own. p.s Chazz, **** off
Stop. Stop it right there. There is no 'may be' about it. We are. The only nugget of truth in your sad and bitter diatribe of an opinion.
It's just a personal choice, it amuses me to spell things how they're pronounced. I also always spell it Torkey on here.
Come on Driff, lighten up ol' lad, join in a few OffTopics, the football thing's killing you - you've been trotted from CI, you seem to be heading the same way here ........... Look out Amber Nectar, Driff's coming!
15 times Leicester have beaten the team put up against them, 8 times they matched them. Not down to how poor the opposition was, but down to how good they were on those days. They have been beaten a massive twice in 25 games, they really should buck- up, hey. I watched Sunderland make Manchester City look half decent for 45mins and then I saw Sunderland raise their game and expose the opposition as they took the game to them; too little, too late. I think there is no doubt that so-called top teams are not performing as well as expected, but I think it is because some others teams are performing better than expected - it is down to an incredible self-belief and consistency that Leicester are top and deservingly so, in my opinion. To detract from that in any way is not understanding competitive sport. I certainly think Leicester can win the PL and I also believe they will - bloody good luck to them.
Yes, born and bred in 'Ull. The capital of God's Country under Roman 'rule' was called Eboracum. That's where TrEBOR mints got their name. Why do you ask?
