First 18min we were disciplined and played well. Then goal. After that city were the better team. 2nd half a 50/50 penalty. I believe if it took place outside the box it would not even be a freekick. Lacazette came on and scored a nice goal. Third goal not one but two city players were offside. However, not as clear as arsenal players believed. Nevertheless, it was offside. Then the game died. Fair result.

Ps. I predicted the scoreline ;)

They have room for players like Sane and Delph. He would walk into that starting 11 - good as it is.

These conversations about Sanchez...make me quite worried for next summer and how the hell we will attempt to replace that much talent lost.

Look at Everton (this year), Man Utd, Chelsea previous years and City too ......easy to spend money but hard to get them to play together like City do. Last year everyone said Pep cannot handle PL with his way of playing and this year when it works like a charm then people say he spent a lot of money. He transformed them very quickly to his way of playing.

The sad thing is.. I think the current top four ARE the best four teams in the league.

No club has had players of the calibre of Aguero, Kompany, Silva and De Bruyne (all genuinely world class) then spends £170m and doesn't challenge for a trophy.
Everton lost their best player and have no world class players and spent £140m.
Chelsea and United spend money and win things or the manager is sacked. Sometimes they are sacked even if they win.
His change around of city ain't been quick...he's taken over a team who last won the league in 2015 and has spent over a THIRD OF A BILLION POUNDS to build this squad. In my opinion if Pochettino, Wenger, Mouriniho, Klopp or Conte had Aguero, Kompany, Silva and De Bruyne then spent £170m and won NOTHING and just scrapped 3rd and came no where near even challenging for the title then they'd have been slaughtered but Guardiola seems to immune from any criticism.
If Chelsea or Spurs etc spent that sort of money they'd be accused of buying the league like Blackburn and Chelsea and earlier city teams were but he ain't.
Seems like hypocritical rubbish to me.
Don't get me wrong...glad you lost but not impressed with him being top.

None of this is aimed at you btw...jusg think pundit and the press should be honest.

    This <ok>

Any manager who spends nearly £400m on top of the already most expensively assembled squad should be crucified if they don't win the league.

If you weren't a bunch of ****s, then I'd rather see Spurs win the league than City, purely for footballing reasons.

I'd rather see Spurs win the league than Citeh,
purely by getting the most points in a season with
no terrible refereeing decisions in our favour.

The eight-point gap between the top two is the largest after 11 games in the Premier League era.

I hear your points. And you are right that the expectations are correct. He must win or he has failed. However, it is HOW they play with the system they have created. I saw them against Napoli and it was very impressive. To get world class players play well is not that easy. The score 3-4 goals EACH game. In city right now you can almost remove anyone and replace them with anyone. So it is the SYSTEM that works well with extremely gifted players. This is why I am impressed.
