Not convinced about Johnson from that first half. Lots of good work. Shame about the mistakes or we might have been grabbing our first points.
Agreed on Johnson, deer in headlights whenever the ball is near him. We probably should’ve had a penalty on the Davis foul. I think their penalty was fair, we’d have been shouting for a pen if that was the other way around. Hopefully we can grab an early goal. Then again, that’ll probably just annoy them and they’ll score another few goals. Get this game out of the way with and try not to embarrass ourselves!
Muric **** Tuenzebe **** Wolfy mehhhh Greaves decent Leif hmmmmm Morsy decent Luongo lost Johnson awfully **** Omari ok Szmodics excellent Delap excellent
Well those first two games are out of the way and we got what we expected. On now to Fulham and start getting some points on the board. COYB!!
One thing they can't take away from us.... celebrating that Szmodics goal, what jubilation, pity it was shortly followed by Leif ****ing up once again and then our clown of a keeper showing his 10 million pounds worth of talent
Not much you can do about that, accept that it was highly likely this was going to happen. I think McKenna lined up as I expected, couldn't do our normal formation as would leave us too open. However from what I've seen so far from Muric including in friendlies I'd stick Walton back in. Apart from the penalty Muric was all over the place all afternoon, his decision making was very poor, I'd say apart from the penalty he could've done better with all the goals. I think it highlighted our deficiencies even from last season that we're weaker down the flanks than centrally. I thought despite the score both CBs did well, particularly second half Woolfenden got us out of some particularly challenging situations through some great positional play. Also an area to work on which hopefully will be improved with new players coming in and some returning to fitness was the fact we don't have a similar level of impact subs as we did last season the change the game. Anyway our season starts now, in McKenna we trust (except for the new GK..not sure on that one)
There wasn't too much wrong with CBs positioning there, good run from Haaland but if the goalkeeper hadn't committed himself Greaves would have pushed him wide.
