We supporters dont have millions of pounds though and at the moment people are having to choose between wembley, barcelona, chelsea fa cup game and sunderland midweek game
As you are probably well aware, manchester similarly to the north east is not a hotbed of wealth and people rightly spend on families first and as a consequence we struggle to sell out every game

The problem is mate, that people assume that a wealthy club means wealthy supporters.

Man City were always a 'working class' club unlike Chelsea so the same applies to you as us.

Fair do's I often wonder how supporters of the larger northern clubs manage to turn out in such numbers for so many games as they do. Considering the economic situation, of the working class, from which the bulk of ordinary supporters belong, it is an amazing demonstration of loyalty, well done everyone of us, irrespective of who we support.

Considering we were told there would be an influx of glory hunters im glad to say its really not materialised so far.
Im fortunate that i have the finances and an understanding wife which allows me to get to every game but do find it irritating when people go on about empty seats
id much rather people put their families first than a football match

with Catts, Bridcutt and Ki I'd be worried that we wont have enough going forward on the odd occasions we'll manage to counter-attack. Thought Colback did very well in a more forward role, and he can still help out defensively when needed.

Plus, Ki is a loan player and we need Colback to sign a new bloody contract. so play colback, rest Ki.

With Bridcutt in for us against the scum jack obviously had a day to remember, if I was Gus I'd pick ki over jack for this game. My fav goal of the season so far was Johnson vs Fulham when ki laid on that ball for him, great counter attacking goal. Think ki offer's more going forward then the ginger!

Don't need to explain yourself to me fella. No problem with it, It's the economical climate we live in. I was just using it as an example to show why it's harsh for somebody to question our away sales for the game. <ok>

He's scored 8 in 11 playing a completely different style of direct football while playing with a strike partner. Leading the line on his own in the premiership is a completely different world. I wouldn't put too much expectation on the lad. He's only back for cover while Fletch is injured.

I understand where your coming from although my point being Connor has been scoring no matter what competition he's finding the net. He has scored more goals then fletch and Jozy combined in only 11 games.

Good points tbf ........... it's sometimes easy to get carried away with goals although Poyet may as well use this as a 'practice match'.

I agree about his long term future unless we go down in which case I think Poyet would have more use for him.

Goals arent (as) important when your the lone striker. He has got to have the ability to hold up the ball, stretch the opposition defence and bring the midfield into play. Jozy has been doing a good job of that these last few games.

Oh he looks sharp no doubt. I'm just cautious as so many Sunderland strikers buckle under fan expectation. Will he be any better at working for the team then Jozy? Or will he disappear like Fletch has been doing? Big risk of all the team misfiring if he can't play the loan role effectively. These are the things Gus has to weigh up. In Gus we trust but if it were me I'd stick with Jozy until I can get a look at a fit Scocco and see how Connor adapts to playing the loan role in training rather than just chucking the lad in and hoping it works. After all the team has been playing fantastic with Jozy in the team dropping short. Why change it?

I'd just like to see him get a start against citeh, he's earned it in my eyes mate. Jozy is def contributing to the team albeit has lacked that final touch in scoring, this hasn't worried me cause we've still been picking up points of late. Scocco will be dangerous to the opposition, he'll def add that spark to the team that we've been missing.

Im guessing im the sewer boy ur referring to funky. Sorry if u dont agree with my opinion it wasn't meant as a dig at our fans as I understand finances have alot to do with it.What im trying to say is not all of us are going to Wembley so why arnt the ones who are hoping for tickets myself included which is far more than those who have tickets go to this game instead and if they manage to get a ticket for the final then happy days.

No, it's a bunch of supporters of a club we can't name.

If we do they'll be back and they're tedious, witless & sackless.

Nowt to do with you mate.

Unless Scocco is fit put Connor in now until the end of the season with Borini. That gives him 12-15 games to prove his worth. If he doesnt do it let him go.

A lot of people will say we are taking a chance being so near relegation but Jozy just isnt banging them in either is he. Would love Jozy to prove me wrong but not consistent enough for my liking.
