Our best chance would be to brick both goals up and play for the draw! <laugh>

Think you may have scored an own goal there Nick. It is a bit like hitting a brick wall with your head, trying to understand the Clueliss logic.

We always raise our game against the big clubs at home and fail against the ones needing the points most. I fear an upset Sunday!!

No worries from me guys. Unless other Stoke posters aren't complaining, I don't mind what gets posted. I think anything really offensive should be in a thread labeled with "OFFENSIVE MATERIAL" or something.

    Not Thatcher related, but this really made me laugh;

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To escape North Korea's long range missiles.

St. Peter meets Margaret Thatcher at the Pearly Gates.
"It is said that you were a role model to millions of women on earth," he says. "So, tell me. How did you distinguish yourself?"
"Well," says Thatcher. "I took on Socialism and made it obsolete."
"Not good enough," says Peter. "What else?"
Thatcher says: " I won a war with Argentina."
"How do these things prove your worth as a human woman?" says Peter.
Thatcher says:"Well I was known as the Iron Lady"
"Ah! Ironing!" says Peter. "Come on in!"

It's rumoured that Maggie died of a stroke brought on my shock!

She had a letter from the DHSS telling her she was fit for work!

Best one I've heard so far is..
David Cameron has told the Commons that a pay as you dump toilet will be built over Maggie's ashes. Any one can use this loo at a cost of £5:00 a go!

He also said. "It's expected that the National debt will be wiped out within a week"

I'm not offended although I think some would argue that it is in bad taste and inappropriate. I personally think politics and religion shouldnt be discussed on this board to avoid fall outs but as long as no one complains then so be it. Light hearted off the cuff commenst maybe but anything heavier just think before we post - maybe?

No need to apologise mate, just making a suggestion before we create our own potential arguments.

Back to the match and thread topic, does anyone rate Welbeck? His goals stats are woeful and I find him greedy with a lack of vision and spacial awareness, and thsi was evident when him and Rooney were on the countwer early on and he held the ball until he lost it as Rooney ran 50+ yards. You just know that if that had been, Rooney, VP, Suarez, Bale, Mata etc they would have found the free man. Thoughts?

Problem is, and we have ALL said it on this board, it matters not who plays up front for us, without any service, nobody is going to score.

With our midfield and lack of width, creativity is a no-go area.

There is always one team that after Christmas goes into free-fall, this time it's our turn, and our 'pilot' is of the kamikaze school of management.

PS, I loathed and despised everything that Thatcher stood for, I think that for the first couple of years she got it pretty much right, people were sick and tired of the 'Unions' running this country (NOT just Scargill). She was elected to destroy them, and she did.

She instigated 'Thatcherism' the money is king syndrome, I'm OK sod the rest of you, destroying the manufacturing industry in the meantime, the UK became a service based economy, creating nothing except enormous profits for a selected few.

Then she screwed up the economy, was 'SAVED' by The Falkland War and then went completely and utterly power crazy and ended up stark starting bonkers. In my opinion of course.

One of her statements which should be read at her funeral is:

Any man over the age of 25 who catches a bus, is a total failure.
