So every single time a player gets a red card, their route back into the team is apparently blocked if whoever took their place plays ok? And so Karius is now undroppable because of his match winning performance where he let in 2 goals and we lost the game?

Nobody is predicting that they're predicting a defeat in this game and a continuing period of struggle.

Confidence is a huge factor and I think fans forget these people are human beings.

    Or an injury yes.
Also not sure how much you’ve had to drink but we lost and not Karius’ fault.

People reckon we can go away to City next and get a win based on what exactly?

We lost and he played ok but hardly amazing.

Pope has been far better for us.

People forget that this **** happens all the ****ing time, a team does well first half of the season playing a way, gets found out and falls to pieces.

Now teams know, they don't need to fight us all over the pitch for possession which is what they were doing previously. Now they just let us have possession.

Both the Liverpool and Man Utd games were identical, we dominated possession, but had zero threat in front of goal. They sat back, let us do our ****, score a goal and relax. It's easy as pie.

This happens, constantly, it's the coaching staffs job to adapt and get us playing a different way to surprise the opponents and get us scoring goals.

You and Charlie are the type of people that would drown when it was completely obvious water levels were rising

If you support the water enough, you'll grow gills.

They were absolutely nothing like each other.

Against Man U we were comprehensively outplayed, against Liverpool we had plenty of chances, they were crap and with 11em on the pitch we'd have had a decent chance at g tting back into it.

Against Liverpool we completely fell to pieces within 20 minutes all over the entire pitch, they scored two of the easiest goals you'll have, two simple balls which sliced our defence apart and then they sat in park the entire game and didn't give a flying **** as we flailed about.

Both Liverpool and Man Utd could have easily, EASILY turned it back on again if we scored a goal.

If Gordon is not in that starting 11 against City btw, Howe is off his head. Lost the ****ing plot.

After that 20 minutes we dominated against Liverpool and had some great chances and could have easily got back into it despite their man advantage.

Man IlU were good enough to shut up shop against us and give us no chances, Liverpool's defence was appealing and we could have easily scored.

The Liverpool game ended with 63% possesson in Liverpools favour and they had 7 shots on target compared to our 4.

If he plays Gordon he'll have a **** game and everyone will say they got robbed and he can't even kick a ball.

There's nothing Howe can do in this game... no matter what he does people will say he should've done this or that.

Just let him get on with it .. he's doing a great job.

Yeah but "they" are nothing, who cares what "they" think.

We need him in our team so he can start to gel with them on the pitch in a real match.

These 30 minute cameos do **** all.

Once again, likely loss but not forgone conclusion.

Howe will be instilling positivity rather than organising a pre match team suicide pact.

Just forget this game imo... give Gordon his debut at home.

He's probably the only player that isn't broken this week.

Let's be Frank newcastle will not beat Man City .

Take this loss, have a strategic review of the previous weeks, step back and breath. Say "Ok, this isn't working anymore. What is everyone else doing, what have we got, what do we change."

Go into Wolves at home with a fresh mindset and gameplan, do something to get 3 points and calm nerves.
