This is getting very bad. All we needed to do was set up solid and defend a 0-0 or 1-0 and protect our goal difference. Is Silva really delusional enough to expect us to be able to go to City and attack without getting pummelled?
I'd have taken six points out of nine a week ago, so you know, fair enough. It's about what happens elsewhere now.
Only plus side about this is that next week against Stoke .... Clucas (avoided a 10th yellow card) and Thudd will be available. Never expected anything out of today tbh, but must try and keep the score down now.
This, all ways up. We're getting beaten away from home by a massively more expensively assembled bunch of players managed by a guy who was widely regarded as the best manager in world football for a good while (probably not now admittedly). It's not the best feeling, but it's hardly a big surprise. We won't get relegated today.
It's gonna go down to the last game isn't it?! It would be the most poetic of scenarios of Livermore scoring the winner against Swansea for West Brom on the last day of the season to keep us up.
