The Dane said: "Next season I want to try to consolidate Swansea. There is a lot of challenge there, we're playing in Europe and we would like to have that experience as a club, as a team, and I would like to be a part of that. Then let's see what happens in the future."

He claimed that finishing in the top 10 of the league was an even greater achievement than winning the Capital One Cup.

"This season will always be remembered for the cup but to be in the top 10 is something really, really great," Laudrup said. "Money is not all in life, and not in football, but it's quite important and to have the lowest budget in the league means to finish in the top 10 may be an even bigger result.

"Our aim has to be to try to consolidate in mid-table. That sounds a bit arrogant but we finished 11th last year and eighth or ninth this season. That's what we have to aim for next season as well. And it won't be easy as I know some of the clubs below us want to spend heavily, so it's another huge challenge."

MM " cheerio lads "

The only thing that will stop MM going, is if Wigan go down, and Martinez accepts the challenge at Everton, he can also leave with his parting gift of the FA Cup win, so Dodge Dave, will still sing his praise, but Martinez jumping a sinking ship, is the only reason that I see of MM not going, but he must be a firm favourite behind the scenes, and tonight on MOTD, he looks even more the new Everton manager in waiting!.......................<ok>

Those of you making puerile comments take it to the banter thread. No I don't want to hear "well he started it by calling me...." grow up and get the thread back on track.
Responding to puerile comments with the same is just as childish, grow up.

That's all.

Been talking about MM going to Everton for too long, not enough comments about who could be a replacement. And no... I don't think Laudrup would be interested in case any of you try that one. <laugh>

Not sure I want a manager who does well for half a season then complete **** the next. I'd rather somebody who consistently does well.

Maybe we could tempt Sir Alex out of retirement? <whistle>

We are just happy enough being a Top 10 team and Cup winners. <cheers>

The only people who are proud of winning the 'Development Cup' are yourselves , at a guess I reckon 90% of teams in the top two divisions would give their youngsters a run-out

If the league cup was that big in the eyes of the FA do you think they would turn a blind eye to teams doing this ......

With eight players away on international duty, Cardiff started with five teenagers as well as summer signings Helguson and Joe Lewis.

Bradford got to the final ffs

It's like living at St Paul's cathedral here with the 'Occupy London protest' camped on our doorstep ,some of the occupiers are clean and are welcome to stay as long as they wish .......but the others ......the unclean ones need to be removed and de-loused quickly .
Now I like a bit of banter from other teams' supporters - but PLEASE , not every thread , not every other reply.
Are there no decent threads on other club forums anymore ............
Please remove your tents and go home - just for a couple of days - and give it a ****ing rest !:emoticon-0121-angry

Blueturk!
Where is your compassion man. These people are asylum seekers escaping a war zone board. <laugh>

If Malky goes he goes if he doesn't he doesn't. Here endeth the lesson.
