It's easy for Hudson to blame the players, he's one of them. Malky like most good managers will defend his players. We were rubbish but we didn't throw the towel in and therefore I understand him standing by them. Your first goal was stupidly lucky and involved basically no input from Hull just a massive individual error. Our 'equaliser' would have stood most weeks, it would have changed both managers half time team talks and we might not have moved to 4-4-2 opening the game up. Your second goal was a mistake by Whits (therefore a gift) BUT it was a good sweeping move from there and well taken. Third was definately offside and shouldn't have stood. It did finish the game. We hit the wood work and had chances after that third goal that would (if we'd managed to put one in) have put us undeservedly back in the game if the third goal had been correctly disallowed. Hull definately deserved the win, I haven't heard many of our lot arguing any different to that, but wow did you catch us on the right night! 'edited to remove the unrelated quote I included first off'
Because discussion about the match clearly ended. Posters went completely off topic and the match was long since finished so there was no real need to continue it. Not that big a deal. Anyway back on topic. I think Malky has a right to have bit of a moan when he has a bad day at the office and I can't really argue with what he's saying. Just because Hull were the better team, it doesn't mean that we couldn't have got something from the game if decisions had gone our way instead of the other.
No it doesn't mean you wouldn't have got anything, but the truth is we could still be there now and you still wouldn't have scored...
It all goes back to Swamp Closing the match thread. Anyway, credit to Andy Dawson as well for swinging in a great corner. As for good luck...well after the Ipswich game we certainly deserved some. What goes around comes around.
i tried deleting and posting football related stuff, but any football related stuff quickly got swamped with, amongst other things, animal porn.. it was clear that no-one wanted to talk football on that thread so it was closed, i gave it a chance but the user request was the final straw. thankyou. if you post a thread entitled 'malky mackay bang out of order' and go on to patronise us how disgraceful it is for managers blame a referee after a poor performance, what do you expect other than cardiff fans to come out in defence?
Guys, Hull won fair and square, were the better team on the night although the officials did us no favours - but that's football for you. Barmby had done his homework well and when you got the lucky og early on (a great delivery from Dawson (who repeated the process several times later) but why McNaughton tried to head a ball at knee level with no one behind him, who knows? Communication at the back is not a strong point of ours), the bus was well and truly parked and we had to chase the game - something we are not good at with no pace out wide and no big target man. You took advantage well with your front guys closing us down all the time, King in particular whose pace bothered us all night, and McLean who won 70% of the ball in the air against a cb some 7 inches taller than him. A great win for you and if you can maintain that form are certs for the play offs.
The Cardiff fans seem decent enough to me. As i said before, i don't see the need to whinge at Macaky's outburst. It means absolutely sod all in the long run and every manager does it after they lose a match. Some on here have been whinging about the refs in the last few games, and the state of the pitch has cropped up. Are they not excuses made by our fans and team? Nothing new here.
Thank you mate. Were you in the KFC after the game by chance and many like you were. I also think that Cardiff will make the play offs.
Has anyone heard about the woman who recently got caught dildoing herself whilst driving? Think it was in Cumbria somewhere, the quotes from her defene case in court are extraordinary!
