MM has a point.......all managers will stick up for their clubs at the end of the day. you only have to watch sir alex and arsen to see that, they both whinge when they lose....everyone does..
Regarding the disallowed goal, I couldn't see much wrong with it from the match highlights but as most Hull fans know we aren't a team who will contest decisions for the sake of it. There must have been something for the players to turn round and protest immediately after the 'goal' was scored.
Cardiff have had something that Hull have not had this season. The media hype. Week after week this season we have had to scratch around the football news looking for anything positive in the press. Cardiff have mean while been one of the teams that is promotion chasing. Even Leicester are given more media attention than us.
yep, dai you're right, so is manuel, i read what mark hudson said this morning so dont patronise me with that anymore i've said in the past that hull deserve the win, but a huge factor in that was our complete lack of energy and form, and that to blame the referee for the loss is missing the point. anyone who was at the game would know this. however football management isnt always about telling it like it is, that would be naiive on occasions such as this. what hudson said was 'We've given away three poor goals that has gifted them the game' and the fact that the goals given away were poor, and that the disallowed goal 'looked like a goal' in fact he's used my own words there, so you've in fact given my argument further strength as for media hype, we've been in a cup final recently..
I have seen the 'goal' replays and the 'linesman' must have seen something that does not show up on any replay. That apart, Cardiff were very bad. They were not beaten by a good side, but they were beaten by one a lot better than them.
1st goal ...OG Second goal ....scrappy goal in area Third goal ...def offside Our equiliser ...........perfectly good We lost the game in midefield and looked tired and the difference was appart from the goals that Hull chased every loose ball and man marked us out of the game ,no width ,no pace ,no target man .
No we can't be that good were only 6th and have the best defence in the league coupled with statistically the 2nd best striker and 2nd best midfielder in the championship Wonder what that makes Cardiff?
And you're just a blithering idiot. How on gods green earth was the 2nd goal scrappy? It was a fantastically worked goal from start to finish where Cardiff didn't get a sniff of the ball between Chester disposes sing Whittingham and it hitting the net. You Cardiff fans were decent yesterday and this morning but you're soon turning into a deluded bunch of arse wipes.
he's the other team's manager. he can say what he likes, right or wrong, silly or sensible. he's under no obligation to us, to accuracy, to sanity, to being in order, to anything. don't take it to heart, managers and everyone else connected with the game have been talking nonsense for years. it's what they do and it's what they always will do.
i need another clip of goal 3. when koren touched the ball there was nothing between mclean and the last defender but maybe the camera wasn't in the best place. anyone got a screen shot? i couldn't get the jerky video to stop at the right moment.
I would disagree with your first comment. You see far more on a television replay than you do at the match. Mannone was definately interfered with for your disallowed goal so the linesman got it right. I tend to agree that McClean was just offside for our third so he got that one wrong but over a course of a season it happens to all teams. We beat you fair and square
yes i did and there an interesting read. it just erks me that nobody away from Hull is giving our lads the praise that they desereve. Cardiff were poor because we made them poor. Even Mark Hudson there capt admitted that they found Hull very hard to breakdown and get on top of. Sometimes you just have to accept the better team won which they did. end of.
yes indeed you did. many have also suffered that fate this season.....Its NO DISGRACE TO LOSE TO A QUALITY TEAM YA KNOW like Hull are. In the words of one Clint Eastwood aka Dirty Harry...A man has to know his limitations.....Which clearly Cardiff did not.
glad that you think so ^^^^^^ this. I was there along with 300 other hardy souls supporting Hull City. BUT..Because Swamp thing thought it fit to close the match thread. Nonsense. If posts are out of line then just delete them. Anyway at least the Cardiff fans i talked to in the KFC after the game held there hands up to the best team won. Seams getting your choppers around Col. Sanders chicken makes you look at things very objectively.
I'm not sure I see the point of this thread, it was MacKay who blamed the loss on the officials, not the Cardiff fans, who have pretty much all said we deserved the win. If MacKay wants to blame the loss on something other than being outplayed on the night, then let him, it won't change the result. It's hardly a new thing, before Adkins went to Saints we had to listen to his post match comments after every Scunny game and he apparently never lost a game due to playing badly, it was always the officials, the weather, the amounts of games they played too close together, the alignment of the moon, an infestation of moles on the pitch, etc, etc etc...
Simples really. Swamp closed off the match thread. Appears he could not be bothered to delete some posts that went over the top. Lazy moderator. Agreed managers always moan,, but Malky really needs to get a grip. Mark Hudson for manager then.
Swamp closed the thread at the suggestion of John. Walkington, as nobody was talking about the match on it any more, the last page was all about tigers eating various types of birds, he's a perfectly good moderator.
oh come on,, ffs. it had hardly decended into areas that we get with TWS had it...so then why not just delete the last few posts or was that too hard for him ? just saying like.
