If I was reading between the lines I'd say he still can't talk about the reasons behind him leaving. Doubt there'd be a block on him saying thank you to the fans. Pretty sure there'd be a block on him being told something like he'd have to generate £3m a year in player sales to keep us afloat. Extreme example but you get the gist. Actually proud of the way a majority of supporters did applaud him. We rise above the hate.
If I were working for a company that was taken over by the likes of Baz I would want to get out asap. If my boss got away from a company that had been taken over by Baz I would be contacting my ex boss and asking him (or her) if I could get a job at the new place. When Malky left the club was in turmoil and the talk of having an ex hairdresser who knows nothing about football (what happened to her?) on the board did not inspire confidence. Malky could have been loyal but our end of last season results suggested that we would struggle this season with him in charge. He could be pretty sure that the loyalty would not have been two way.
I think thats a fair point NZ ,at the end of the day and benefit of hindsight ,he had taken us as far as was going to be able to,with the perceived threats of what was going to happen to the club !
