Is it just me or is Malkay grossly overrated? I know they finished top. I just don't get the fanfare for him? I think considering our comparable budgets Bruce has done a much better job, I'd also be confident of Bruce finishing above a Malkay team next season.
Seriously, I'm not being whacky - why does Martinez have this stellar reputation? What has he done. All the Wigan fans I know - and I know a few - say they were much better under Bruce. Martinez's signing have been largely poor - Boselli cost ****loads for a club like them and he's been a disaster.
Dan Walker now tweeting he'll be 'surprised' if Malky isn't Everton boss next season. So if this happens who will Cardiff go for? Would they risk Bellamy?
On MOTD I was absolutely amazed he didn't publicly distance himself from the job. He said all the usual "it's nice to be linked" crap. But when Gary asked him if it was a definite no he just passed on the question to Laudrup. i'd be worried if I were a Blue/redbird.
just came out with the bog standard denial on MOTD. "built something at Cardiff and want to carry that on into the premier league.......and such and such".
Agreed, Wigan can play some good stuff, so why can Martinez not motivate his players for the majority of the season? I'm not saying he's a bad manager but I think Wigan are about his level to be honest.
