While on the subject, I just spotted Bob Mortimers novel in the shop today 'the Satsuma Complex', has anyone read it? Is it any good?

His autobiography was brilliant, doesn't always covert to novels (eg Frankie Boyle).

Not read it, kind of avoiding it for exactly the reason you say. I love Bob and don’t want to be disappointed in him. I don’t know why so many celebrities in different fields think that qualifies them to write a novel.

Only game show worth watching and always improved when Bob Mortimer is on.
I'd watch anything with Bob Mortimer. His stories are so interesting, albeit sometimes bizarre.
Does anyone recall the one where he burned down his own house with fireworks. I think it was on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
And the one where he pees into kettles when staying in hotels, disgusting but strangely funny. And he tells them with incredible nonchalance. I guess that's why I like him.
As much as the late, great Sean Lock, RIP <rose>, complained of having to play 8OOTCDC, Bob took that to a much lower level with his indifference. He's funny without seemingly trying to be.

BTW, I reckon he's telling the truth on WILTY when he occasionally stops to laugh at his own stories. He remembers the funny incidents that actually happened, rather than his brain thinking of something that would be believable.

Can't stand the show myself
I watch it, but if there's anything better on then, no. Like many shows, it has its highs.
I almost split my sides when Lee told the story about being invited to attend Prince William's wedding. If you've not heard it, then look away now and go to Youtube. Believe me, It's a must watch.

The faces on David and Rob when Lee told his story, were amazing. And their reactions when he revealed that he was telling the 'truth' killed. :emoticon-0104-surpr :emoticon-0106-cryin
But that wasn't the end. :emoticon-0140-rofl:
Go on. Leave this site for a while and watch that WILTY episode. It'll brighten your day, imho. But make sure you have your diaper on, you'll need it!

Sorry, that should read Prince Harry's wedding and not Prince William's.
