The pigmy hippo looks bizarre but cute at the same time. Almost like plastic or a Madam Tussauds wax figure brought to life. The second hippo looks more like the ones I'm used to seeing, but without the teeth/tusks. Hard to believe they are, in the animal kingdom, the biggest killer of humans in Africa.
They are yeah, viscious bastards apparently. Still a long long way behind mosquitoes though in the grand scheme of things.

Seriously though, you're right. Mosquitoes kill around a million people a year world wide.
And now that WE'VE reached Plague Proportions (8 Billion), that stat. might just get worse.
