I hear Tottenhams got a new Italian striker. Grabatelli! P.S Calm down Pete, when you give it out you gotta be able to take it
Swords & Pete, handbags at 10 paces... I think a few derogatory chants aimed at the Goons would be in order before the match, but as soon as the players appear we'll give 'em the Loftus roar! It's Bolton who'll get the vibe...
A window was smashed in the Kings Road last night outside my home ... Two tins of Unicorn Chutney were taken and a gold ingot was used to break the glass
Given what's been happening on the streets this week, if there's ever a weekend where protests, unrest and the like are utterly inappropriate, it's this weekend.
Don't play that card. We're not talking about a protest or a demonstration. All I'm saying is don't miss this first opportunity to let the goons know how we feel - through chanting. Ordinarily in a game there will be times when anti-opposition chants or anti-Chelsea chants start up. So instead of that, let's chant anti-Goons stuff to humiliate them in front of their associates. It's no good us all bleating on here about the state of things if we don't make our voice heard to those responsible on Saturday. Last time it kept Briatore away and we ended up winning promotion without his meddling. Got to be worth another go.
the goons knew this would happen. why else would they all have been in tottenham over the weekend do anything to get the first home game cancelled by the time we next play at home f1 will be on again and they won't here any chants
And then there's additional policing needed. And then there's more likelihood of the game being called off because the security requirements are beyond what can be provided. It's not a card I'm playing, and I actually resent the implication that it is. At the moment, we need to show, beyond any doubt, that we can behave at matches and that there's no reason to call them off. And this weekend is the one time we need to do that more than any other. Next home game, once the violence and looting has been quelled and things are back to normal, by all means go for it. Just don't be a twat this weekend?
You keep missing the point. No-ones asking anyone to misbehave, to protest or to be a twat. Just to behave like normal football fans by creating a great atmosphere, backing the team without missing the opportunity to direct our displeasure through chanting and encouraging them to sell the club sharpish. Which will have an effect as they are vain, egotists. Or should we just pretend that we're all perfectly happy with the way they've treated us and the club over the summer - and doff our cap at them and treat them to a warm round of applause as they take their seats.

Fully agree. If we start chanting "Goons Out", the police riot squad are hardly likely to stop patrolling the streets to come and arrest us. The Goons have treated the fans with arrogant disregard over the closed season - chant against them, embarrass them in front of their rich friends and the television audience and don't let them get away with it. GOONS OUT!!! ...now where's my Indian flag...
100% with you Goldhawk and Stainrod. I'll be there alternating between "COURs!" and "Goon's out!".. Anyone up for a "He's coming home, he's coming home, he's coming, DJ's coming home!" chant?? .... No..?... just me then...
