The 7/7 bit didn't come out properly, but this is what it said ...

... But there won't be clappers, that's for sure! :) 7/7

We all want something to shout about that has to start with the performance on the pitch. Hoos should at least acknowledge that there has not been too much to shout about.

An occasional bit of encouragement from our players/manager usually gets the crowd going.

It's simple: deliver and we'll shout about it.

I've been banging on about this for years. When the atmosphere is good at LR, it's something to behold, but far too often it's dull and predictable. I've not been to a game this season, so am in no position to comment on the quality served up on the pitch and whilst the requirement for quality football is a fair argument, as is get the family stand out of the loft, I do think that if we offer absolute vociferous support, regardless, we will see, or certainly stand the best chance of seeing a better return from the players. If things aren't going well for them, and they hear deadly silence, or negativity from the stands, a good outcome is unlikely. Stands to reason surely? If you're having a nightmare at work and people around you start laying into you, you won't feel energised and buoyant, you're much more likely to hate the place, especially with so many new players, who are forming opinions of the place.
So, although not present, I urge you all to roar and clap and refuse to sit down. When we go 1 down, double your efforts, when we go 1 up, get naked and do the locomotion.
I've often thought of contacting the club about this, maybe Hoos is the man to speak to.

Get the 6 year olds out of the lower Loft for god's sake.

Can somebody please bring up this topic at the next fans forum and let the club hierarchy know what the fans think on this subject.......please. The family area will just have to be moved asap.

From what I have read it is brought up at every fans forum to the point of tedium.

Fair enough but......it appears that the message is not getting through. To add insult to injury they now start a campaign to get fans to make more noise when they are stubbornly ignoring the easy solution to the issue. Somebody needs to tell them out straight that the family section is simply in the wrong part of the ground. Full stop.

Loos said there was nowhere else to move it to without forcing still more to move.

I've had an idea that will solve noise, attendance and loft occupancy issues.
Every other seat is to be sold twice per match. People take turns to sit on other peoples' laps, 10 minute intervals perhaps, kids sit on parents' laps and everyone pays 1/3 less to get in.
Loft as family stand sorted, they take up 1 block.
Noise sorted, although it may be mistaken for groans and get the **** off my dad, you arsehole, they'll not pick that up from the pitch.
New stadium sorted, we now pack a spectacular 27,000 in, like the early 80's, no need to move.

I don't believe that for one second. They could easily move the family section to either the R Block or to the Lower School End and just block off the first few rows to prevent away fans above throwing stuff down. I think the hierarchy at the club are too stubborn on this issue. It has badly affected the atmosphere inside the stadium. I think the family section is important but the location they have chosen is simply madness.

He said at the last forum the School end was too close to the away fans for kids.

I don't and never have liked Hoos.

There I've said it.

He is a geniune bloke IMO and had a couple of nice emails from him
He listens and is still tuning in
The media team act like robots at times and we need fresh blood there IMO
I sit in z6 and get better feedback from the away vibe
I said it was going down hill seasons ago and most will understand my old fickle rants are coming true

If we got a world class manager tomorrow then he may only last a while we lost a big bit of our soul as we were in effect raped

Hope you're ok.

I've never met Hoos so you're obviously in a better position to judge.
He always comes across to me as a bit of a snake oil salesman.

So it's the fans (that bother to go)'s fault that we're having a crap season?
