Going to go against the grain here....

I haven't got a problem with anyone on the mackem board, and I do like comm, but I agree with Somb on this one. I wouldn't like our board to be going down the same route as theirs has for the last few days. I don't have an issue with GC, but it should stay on GC. I always think that when you go onto somebody else's board then its up to the visitor to conform to the board rather than the other way around. What's going on on that board atm has gone beyond banter to targeting personal insults at individuals.

I would also say that I'd welcome GC visitors on here when they are on topic with the board and entering into discussion/debate like SPMF and 23 (tho I strongly disagreed with his opinion) did. What's going on over there is in danger of spilling over and could drive posters away from their board. It doesn't help that they have so many OT threads that attract this sort of thing, but I enjoy posting on there and wouldn't like to see people being driven away.

 

With the Mackems, they have always loved infighting and Smug is always at the centre.
Put it this way----- if you walked into a bar (newbie) and saw a brawl (most of Smug's threads) would you stay in there and buy a drink (post)?
Most wouldn't.
That is the issue.
Plus as well as the OT stuff they have 2-3 versions of the same thread at any given time.
Underpnning the lot is the multi banned (from their board) Billy who seems to be their resident racist and bigot and gets treated with kid gloves.

 

Agree with a lot of that, tho its up to them to run it the way they want to - as long as it doesn't fall foul of the supermods. I agree that Smug can be an absolute arse at times, but drowning him out with people acting as even bigger arses isn't the answer.

It doesn't help that Comm will be drinking in our afternoon and getting more and more aggressive, and then just as he starts to calm down then that's when the natives start drinking and it all kicks off again. As I said on their board, I'd hate to be a mod over there!

 

Been on the gc board for the second time ever, and found this from a black and white.

And that "Somebody's Pinched My Sombrero" spends his entire life weirdly siding with Smug for no reason... Smug's content taking on all comers with his boring repetitive inability to spout a witty comeback, so why does SPMS always feel the need to charge in on his midget-mule and scream the words "out of your depth"...? I'm gonna call him "Smug's little bitch", seeing as that's what he acts like!!! Used to be a decent poster, sad.
