You will mate. Your a great bloke who's not bad to look at. Just a matter of time. You're a catch. Thing is though, you never find them looking. I found Georgie at my worst when it was the last thing I wanted or was looking for.

I dread bumping into ex's, ex wife especially. We divorced on great term but still, it's just weird! <laugh>

Not sure if we'll elope or not but whatever we do they'll be some kind of shin dig with open invite. Need to get a job and devote 3 months wages for an engagement ring first. I'm a traditionalist, much to my ladies annoyance. Security before marriage and marriage before kids It's how I roll and why I'm child free.

RPP Mate. Restraint, protection and principles.

FFS I've just got back from there with your mother. I am free now though, I left her with those Greeks behind that big market kebab shop. ;)

By the sounds of it @Blunham Mackem needs to wear a disguise when he goes out as it seems inevitable he'd bump into one of his harem!

Disagree with your outlook a little mate. Marriage can come before security for me. But security before kids.

3 months wages on a ring is idiotic nowadays as well unless you're earning an utter packet. I bought my missus something for about 750 saying "I'll buy you a bigger one when I've made something of myself." She threatened to bite my bollocks off if I try and replace the first one.

It's not so much an outlook mate, more than a way of being brought up. I realise I need to move with the times and make allowances but I hate the values society has abandoned. I won't have kid before marriage though. Can't budge on that. Everything else is idealism though fella I can budge on those things.

Security is subjective. To me that's just a full time job on a permanent contract. The house, car, credit and what not can come later.

Sounds like Burlham is living in a small town world. My ex had an IQ which qualified for Mensa comfortably. She has a bright future and confident it will take her places I'll never have to see her again <laugh>

Permanent job with prospects is what I'd consider security. Agree about not having a kid prior to that point. Agree with being married before the kid as well.

Some of those values are worth keeping but some are just a bit dated for me.

Me, Mr Burlham <laugh> does live in a small town world.

I live in a village now, I wear a mask in case some Mr Big Town drives through and recognises me. This witness protection programme's a bitch mate.
