Am so fglad this is an early kick off now - have to drive to Coventry on the afternoon that day and a 12pm kick off suits me perfectly as it means I have time to get sorted and leave afterwards.!!! Truly hope we put the hoodoo to bed - wouldn't it be great if that result put us above them

    Christ I'm getting nervous already!!!

Haven't we won every game under O'Neill on TV?? **** I hope that keeps on going and going!!! Boro this weekend and Norwich next wednesday then the Mags in March!!!

I hope not. On paper we should really destroy you, but anything can happen on a derby day.

Hoping the two Demba's can do the business together, they linked up really well for Senegal and Cisse set up a great chance with his first touch for Ba.

I'm hoping they're this good against you ;)

    Destroy us?

I'm not biting on that Tash, nice try tho ;)

They'll be a canny pairing though, no doubt.

Well howay mate, Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Tiote, apart from Sessegnon you don't have anyone in the same league as those players do you? Not trying to get a bite, just stating facts.

They are unquestionably strong bunch of individuals, but that's not how it works Tash, and you know this marra.

What we have is a bunch of players who now know there roles and fill them effortlessly, due to being managed not only correctly, but superbly now.

That is a massive thing to have.

In truth, and i've always been open in my admiration of Ben Arfa, I don't see how he'd bring more to us than Mclean and Seb have, Cabaye would be superb alongside Catts to free Sess, and any one of your 2 up top would strengthen us.

Bar Perch for you and Bendtner for us (bit harsh?), all of our players, for once, are Premier League standard at least!

If you are asking me do I honestly think that we have better individuals then probably no, but I think our whole unit is starting to really look the part.

Hatem Benny Hill will be on the bench anyway.

Out of that list the one I fear is the one who isn't on it, Shola of Lagos. He puts the fear of death through my veins for about 3 weeks before every game.

Well as I said, on paper I think we should destroy you, but it's not about who's on paper. That's why I'm not predicting.

It's like us at the start of the season. People looked at our team and thought we were nothing to think about, but Pardew organised them so well, and look where we are now.

Unfortunately, it's been mainly injuries that has ****ed our defensive record up. But at the end of the day, I'm no longer interested in goals for and goals against, because that means **** all really, it's about points and getting results.

This season we've played **** in games and won them, last season, we played amazing in games and lost or got a ****e draw.

Anyway I'm digressing. I'm not claiming we will destroy you, my main point is we're stronger on paper, but paper doesn't win games, and O'neill has organised you well.

    All fair enough mate.

One thing I noticed with you guys on Saturday was that Colo looked really off the pace, Dempseys 3rd being a prime example (although it could be put down to fear of a red if he got it wrong).

Carrying a knock? Or just a case of head up the arse after a capitulation?

I think we can get at you from the dead balls (we can get at anyone from dead balls now), but I can see you having a fair amount of midfield possesion.

Our defence has been fantastic though, we rarely look like conceding, going to be a very interesting one.

On the subject of better individuals though, do you think HBA being quick and skilful makes him a better player than Seb, who uses the ball immaculately, and scores and creates a huge amount?

Is Tiote being strong in the tackle and tactically a good reader better than the motivational influence and ball winning of Catts?

    It's open to conjecture.
