Newcastle may not have the best team in England, indeed they may not have the best team in the NE of England, but you have to doff your cap and admit one thing about them. Their fans do meltdoons better than any other club in the world. In that respect they are without equal. As Smug so often says... We are so lucky to have them as our rivals. They are truly unique. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

What’s this story on social stuff about Beheady Howe complaining to the Premier League about some chant from our fans on 80 minutes which “seriously affected several of his players “
Could just be click bait?

It was around then that we put a message on the scoreboard reminding people to sit down. Cue the whole ground stood up and sang "stand up if you hate the mags."

I remember the time as my son said "what's the point of that message when we've been standing up for 80 mins!"

That sounds familiar. It seemed like there was a run of draws where they would pull one out at the end and was incredibly frustrating.

Didn't happen yesterday though :)

With the right additions and subsequent replacement for Xhaka (how??) we could be set for a while.
Aye, I remember them well. The jammy bastards.

The one where Taylor faked being hit in the balls after he handled on the line and got away with it (he did that a lot, but never got away with it again after this match). I'm sure it was 1-1 at the time and pretty late in the game. That I think was under Sbragia, but I might be wrong. Then the one where Taylor dove and got a penalty for Ameobi to equalise, later another with an Ameobi equaliser in stoppage time (we'd been the better team but Sess got sent off then Tiote should have been sent off at 1-0 when he brought down McLean who was as clear).

There were two draws, that one under O'Neill and one under Bruce where they scored early and we equalised in stoppage time that they might say it was a "moral victory", but generally we were the better team in most of those games, even if not by much. Even their last win in the league against us under Bruce, we were the better team for most of the game, but gave away a stupid free kick that they scored from. Other than the 5-1 and one they won under Keegan, they've never really been the better team.
