I totally agree. And remember this same discussion from last season I think. We have to stay pro-active. I get the cart before the horse analogy but at the minute we are in a sports car which is finely tuned and with a bit more work it will be a race car and then hopefully a Formula 1 car. This could happen quick or may take some time, investors clamouring to be involved, advertisers chomping at the bit and fans desperate for tickets. Yes it could go tits up, who knows but I would rather be looking at it than looking for it. Truth is if they decide to go ahead it will probably take a couple of seasons to sort and build so if we wait 2 years that will become more like 4 years and by then we may miss the boat.
Just had to question one on Facebook. (In a Sunderland post no surprise!) He said that Xhaka failed at Arsenal big time as he only won an FA cup. When I pointed out the massive carabao cup success they had last year, biggest trophy in the world ya knaar!!! They’re imbeciles. Actually, that’s not fair on imbeciles!!!
They’ve also started mentioning winning The Cup last season. Ya can **** off, as impressive as it is (always drawn at home) and I’d love us to win it,it’s not The Cup. The F.A. Cup is The Cup and far superior to The League Cup.
It’s something I’ve been thinking about if we are basically all but safe come first week in January, I’d love us to Go all out for the FA Cup!!
Unlike the very successful hero Shearer who won ….who won .. em .. a… ? no not that - In any case, I think we are more concerned with what Xhaka is doing now for us not what happened before
For all he was an ace striker, and an ace penalty taker, he bottled that kick. The " push away" penalty, side of the foot, to the strikers right if he's right footed and vice versa, usually means more notice for the keeper, less power and more likelihood of a save. More misses are of this kind than any other. It is also always ( opinion here) a sign of choking. Get the bloody thing hit.
