Me dad was at the club, a club not a clerb friday night & a mag was explaining how there was to be a vote against loaning players from saudi & the whole thing was aimed at wrongly acting against one club, me dad didnt really know what he was going on about so asked me with the presumption...they were playing the everyone is against us tool again

Explained to me dad, the vote is not against them, the vote is to stop clubs circumnavigating FFP, cheating in other words, the reason they think its against them....is they are the club most likely to use this as a tool to cheat, plus its not against players from Saudi its against loaning players from clubs owned by the same owner. Man City, few others do this, but in a different way as in there players go out on loan for development, whereas the route looking like taken is loaning but paying a low % of the wage they are on. Lets hope the vote is 19-1 they will be straight onto labour MP & Boris...Boris as they probably dont realise hes no longer PM....a bit like the bus trip to protest at parliament a day it was closed!!!

 

The Nunes loan or cheap sale to the skunks was mentioned at the time of his move out there, so people were already looking at it to stop "collusion". Add in the Saint Maximin transfer, where he was probably well over valued on his transfer worth, and you can guess that this has already been well flagged up. The mags are only crying now because as you say, they were the most likely to try and circumvent the rules by doing it. And it feeds the mags persecution complex that the big clubs want to stop them.

Any true football fan should want Newcastle to fail because of who their owners are. Any efforts that puts obstacles in their way should be applauded. Even if i was a town fan i would understand and accept it.

 

If all else fails they could go down the Man City route.

Sponsoring N/C would be an excellent way of putting tthe airline's profile on a higher level and the few hundred £mil a year it would cost, could surely be justified.

I think the best thing that actually happened was them beating PSG although I didn't think it at the time.
However after that win they honestly thought they were the best team in the world, thought they'd win the champions league with ease and some of their very smelly fans even stated they were unstoppable, **** me even Bournemouth stopped them and I was actually going to put a bet on that them, Luton, Burnley and sheff utd wouldn't get 15 points this season.
I forgot they had to play the skunks twice who have a habit of losing to the worst team in the league, I'm sure when Derby got relegated with the worst ever points total they took 4 points of the unwashed

The only team that didn’t record a victory against Derby, and the only team who failed to even score a goal against them. 0-0 and 0-1 iirc

 

They did score against Derby.that season, unfortunately. The second game was a 2-2 draw at skunks park. They nearly lost both games, though. Derby should have had a penalty late on after Viduka equalised in the 87th minute (I just looked it up).
