    Toney ended up with 8 months and supposedly he bet on his own team to lose!

    If they bet on their own team or themselves to score etc they should have the book chucked at them.

    If they betting on matches their team isn't involved in it they should be 12 months minimum as they are aware of the rules.

    Apparently so, but never in a game he played in. The rhetoric when this broke from the mags was “never bet on football, shouldn’t be banned”. Suddenly they’ve gone very quiet now ws the facts. Addiction and stupidity. If I am addicted to gambling, as a millionaire, you have to use your brain and avoid betting on your own sport! Toney didn’t, Tonali didn’t. Both thick as **** in my book, addiction or not.

    I wonder if it came out that a non NUFC player was addicted to cocaine, and he had a hand in a goal which beat them, if the mags would rally support or simply condemn him? I know the answer and the situations are not that different (if Tonali is addicted, as that’s another thing I am not convinced about)

    I think it’s the latter. Think he found a dodgy way to make money. But the agent got on top of it before it broke properly. Opinion mind not fact

    The unstoppable rise to lower in the league than they were last year.
    This arrogance will just gee up City, Arsenal, Chelsea , Scousers etc to keep them down.
    They likely will win something soon , but imagine them if no silverware by say end of next season

    Yip , and I would say he has to win something this year to stand any chance of being there next year. If he is there trophyless , the fans will want to replace their best manager in the world with the best manager in the world they deserve
