I suppose you have to look at the positives. Whilst those drones are advertising SELA above st james' they aren't dropping bombs on Yemeni children
Drone display business is a ****ing charade. They are turning game into a circus Wish they would **** off to Super League where they belong........
Some things transcend football and this little fella was one of them. Big smile, Big character a club that cared and a nation that fell in love with him. Morons and internet trolls aside this incident has reminded me of the humanity within our own world of football and that sometimes and in a lot of ways we are all the same. Passion commitment excitement dreams and another hundred feelings we all get about our teams were embodied in a little boy whose life was cut short. Fair play to whoever put this out as it shows a solidarity amongst the rivalry and a sense of respect that deep down never really gets shown
What was the capacity of Roker Park back in the late 80s? Was it 25k or so? Because something doesn't add up - I've just been told by the 2 (mag) lads doing my garden that they were in the Clock Stand for the Gillingham game in '87 so by my reckoning that's close to 87,000 mags who were there that night and "took" the Clock Stand etc
This reminds me about the humanity that we showed following the MH17 'plane crash, and the Bradley image on their badge shows that there really are some good-uns about As mentioned above, morons and internet trolls are few and far between, fortunately, and anybody who takes the mickey out of the demise of other peoples' disability or illness should be shown up for how disgusting they are, and they shouldn't be welcomed in any decent community. The Sheff. Wed. fans who have spoken out against those two idiots at Hillsborough are good examples of how most of us are
I see the mags are getting their excuses in early for their game tomorrow. According to Sky they have an "injury hit squad". Turns out only 3 players didn't join in training today!
i think it was 30k then, there was 25k at that match. There were Mags in with Gillingham but about 100 in The Clockstand. Apparently they got a taste of it outside and back to the station. Which is nice.
Unfortunately they were taken out early by the Police and I believe vanned up to Seaburn station, so unless some were done coming out with the Gillingham lot the ones in the Clockstand Paddock (from my recollection) got away.
It might’ve been the ones in The Roker End mate but I was told by more one that they got a kicking.I wasn’t involved either way I left the ground and went back over the bridge.
Just heard on the local news that Newcastle have qualified for the Champions league. Look North have kept that quiet, I hadn't realised..
Just been on the supposedly local news about that game up the road that the turnaround in a team that narrowly avoided relegation just a few years ago is "unbelievable". However, spending over £200 million on players with a sport washing murderous regime backing you seems to have been totally ignored yet again
I accept that they will probably win the league and maybe champions league sometime. I just hope that it’s a good few years away to prove it was down to a lot of money , if they did it now it’ll be all “we spent little, it’s because we have the world’s no1 manager and also Dan Burn”
How much did Almiron cost again???? And only 4 of the starting 11 were at the club beforehand - yet its not about money!
Has anyone pointed out that 11-4=7? 7 new players, bought for exorbitant sums, Would have been 9 had Bootman and Joe Linton not been injured. Saudis man Not to mention a load of the lads on the bench are only still at the club to meet the home grown quotas for CL
mag-esque history rewriting from a friend on Facey to be fair a mag did pull them up that they had previous for smashing up their own city.
