So Sir, are you suggesting that Mr Howe is implying that the rules of the game should be subject to goals scored, minutes on the clock thus making them "depending" rather than the letter of the law? A bit like someone getting a straight red for a thigh high challenge 5 minutes into a heated Derby and the commentary team suggesting that the ref should use "common sense" rather then sticking to the rules? Surely you aren't implying that Wor Eddie thinks the rules doesn't apply to him and his team of misfits?
Seen a few interviews with Man Utd fans about their potential new ownership, doesn't seem like they give a **** who owns them as long as they pump money in. I don't understand it.
Sadly I have a feeling the Glazers will be the same. They'll sell to the highest bidder and their soul along with it. Under their management the club went from being debt free to a deficit of around £500m, owing a further £200m on transfers and losing money year on year. The owners still saw fit to pay themselves huge dividends and will want a profit from this sale. If they'd overseen endless trophies it might all make a glimmer of sense ... ... but it's disgraceful, for a once proud club, and about to become worse. Let's hope Amad comes out as gay, or Jewish, so they can't wait to get him out of the club.
I've had another word with the Nags Head......they're banning them....it's a red and white pub! They're waiting for us in May again!
But isn't that what nearly ALL Fans want? The Best Players, making up The Best Team, in The World, and all being provided for them without them having to pay for it. And, at the risk of using stereotypes, who is most likely to provide this? Simple answer is, Oil Rich Arab States, under one guise or another. Not The Americans, they require a divided every year, and Fans see this as taking £££'s out of THEIR Club. Personally I see nothing wrong with this, as long as it's a Divi from PROFITS. We have a close example of Investors taking Divi's while losses were being made, from up the Road, And the more of this oil cash that gets thrown into this pot, the bigger the divide will be between the Have's, and Have Not's. Perhaps the rest of Football should let them have their Euro Super League all to themselves, while the rest of us can return to competitive Football.
well who would have thunk it, cos i was sure they said it was Mickey mouse, to ease the pain of a Sunderland trophy
Watch out! I think Utd might have bigger fish to fry and will be piling a lot of effort into Thursday's game against Barcelona , which is less than three days before the Wembley game. They'll want to win the final, but they'll be going there with a big game in their legs. It might gift the Saudis a huge chance.
True enough, but who will be in Goal for our 'Friends to the North'? It's possible that they may have a problem in that position
That's like sad as a sad thing. Last time they were in a final I think Nelsons column was seeking planning permission
They’re campaigning to allow Pope to play, say “sentiff in the league so should be banned in the league”, yet when you tell them Bruno was sent off in the semi, they argue that it’s different!!
